The 4 levels of Poison and how to effectively de-toxify

The 4 levels on which poisons work – Blood, Water; Electricity and Consciousness – and how to remove them holistically.

Dear Ed,

Believe it or not, I first wrote this article in 2013, while at very close quarters to a snake – on the other side of the skinny bedroom wall – in a tiny guesthouse under a cliff that broke rain clouds, so that building was half sunk into the mud because of the constant deluge. I was terrified initially, but there was nowhere else I could go and after about 15 minutes sensing the snake, I began to actually feel calmed by it. I have nothing but loving memories and gratefulness for that encounter. That night in bits and pieces as I dozed this article came to me. Here it is, edited for now. Continue reading

Herbs for Fear Induced Cramps & Spasms – Asthma, Bronchitis, Abdominal Cramps

Letter to Ed describing my very crazy but true story about how I almost died from fear induced asthma when I was fifteen – I went from healthy to dying in 3 weeks. My experience with fear in childbirth and the greatest line up of herbs ever to relieve lung, uterine and abdominal cramps + two breathtakingly beautiful tropical herbs.

Ed, first of all I have to confess I’m writing this to you just to show off the pictures I took of a particular herb taking over the hillside. I feel like my home team is winning when herbs spread over other vegetation. It isn’t that I don’t like other vegetation, but when a particular herbs spreads virulently, it MEANS something, it’s a message from nature for the times. The plant is being energized by the earth to grow and spread because there is need for it. Continue reading

Have a Fear Free Natural Birth with Herbs

Valentine Garland – 1891

Having had a dog give birth thrice at my house before I myself had a child, taught me more about giving birth than all the books and videos on the internet, not to mention the hush-hush births I’d been around in human hospitals.

Dogs approach birth without the trained tension and worry humans go through.

The first time a dog in my care was pregnant, she got a terrible stomach infection and couldn’t keep anything in. I dutifully took her to a vet, “just to be on the safe side”. The vet ordered an xray. Continue reading

Chilblains & Raynaud’s Syndrome – Herbs to Balance Body Temperature

As a sufferer of severe Raynaud’s where my finger joints would go purple and black every winter, I’ve given a lot of thought to this condition and tried all kinds of treatments for it till I finally found something that really worked.

Creams that have lanolin (sheep fat) work the best to create a layer of protection from the cold, and the topical application of Winter Cherry, Spikenard, Datura and other herbs that create warmth locally, are necessary as you will have to keep your fingers and toes as warm as possible. Herbs to relax Heart Muscle Tension and release PTSD patterns

When we go through traumatic episodes one too many times, we learn to hold some parts of us tight, sometimes so tight that those parts of us, let’s say an area of the heart muscle for example, that the place becomes hard, taut, and even develops scar tissue or adhesions over the years.

These are notoriously hard to discover by xray or other methods because they aren’t so easy to see. But they are felt indeed and can cause a lot of pain and discomfort.

Very often, it is years before we notice exactly where we’ve got a hard part of an organ wall. By then the nerves and muscles in the area have fallen into the habit of being tense and staying taut, compromising blood circulation, causing that organ to be sluggish or hyperactive and/or malfunction. Herbs to Strengthen the Heart, Build Emotional Resilience

When you strengthen the heart, you strengthen every part of you and find relief from problems that were not responding before.

To strengthen a weak or tired heart, on every level, herbs can help. They’re living beings like us. They open our sub-conscious tunnels and caves and cupboards, awaken deep things in us and help us see and hear what we need to to find our way.

When the physical heart is weak or unstable, it is a clarion call from our consciousness to repair ourselves from deep deep within. Continue reading

Holistic Rejuvenation of Heart, Blood and Bone Marrow Function

One of the body’s most common responses to hidden or suppressed trauma is a steady decline in the quality of blood cells being made.

This is why people ‘age’ suddenly when they have a tragedy or loss that ‘takes the life’ out of them.

This situation can also be caused by actual loss of physical blood, starvation and deprivation over a long period of time (especially in the case of women) and various emotional situations.

The most common cause however is the person doesn’t WANT to live anymore if that’s the way life is. A fall in blood quality and quantity is very simply the life energy withdrawing and the body and psyche being in a state of waiting for something to make the person want to live again. Nervous & Emotional Healing with Cardio-Restorative Herbs

I’m a veteran of heart problems having had cardiac insufficiency due to trauma since the age of 8 and actually had two cardiac arrests at the age of 19. I was told then that there was no chance of a normal life ahead for me. They said I’d live only with the help of drugs to keep my heart beating regularly enough, and things like having a baby would be at the risk of death, unlikely anyway as I wouldn’t be able to cope with the increased heart rate that’s part of sex.

My Great-Great Grandad John Waltham didn’t even hear me out when I started telling him all that. He put me on the path to healing my heart and in the process over the years I used what I’d learned to help others – people and animals. Continue reading

Herbal Super Nervine Mix for Emergencies & Trauma Support

One morning a month ago, I woke up earlier than usual and as has happened many times in my life, I felt a herb calling me, telling me to make a ‘Super Nervine’ mix. Now I hate to make treatments without knowing who I am making them for, and moderately confident that they’ll take every last drop too. You see, herbs even if they’re not expensive, my herbs, are precious. I care about every last little while I extract them, how I keep them, I love them, truly. So I hate making mixes if there’s a chance they won’t be used or won’t be used fully. Continue reading
