Herbs to Release Pent-up Rage

Anger that isn’t released becomes Rage. There are so very many physical conditions that are the result of anger bottled up that I cannot list them here.

There’s a simple rule of thumb. If you’re attracted to this topic, you most probably have pent up rage or someone you care about deeply, who influences you deeply has it.

These herbs have been my friends through the worst times of my life and I present them to you as I got to know them.

This is not a comprehensive list of all they are and do, just what I have been privileged to come to know of. They are living spirits and have different relationships with each person.

Datura Stramonium – Rage connected to Guilt

datura-innoxia-herbal-medicine

My article called – Deep Space Datura – is one of the most popular pages on this website. Datura is my favorite painkiller oil and I have a bottle always at hand for every physical pain and ache and soreness. It’s also a wonderful sleep inducer.

But one of its long term effects, ie., when you use it say twice or thrice over a few weeks, is the way it exhumes rage.

The rage exhumed by Datura is most often rage associated with guilt.

There’s a rage that’s the result of deep remorse we feel inside, remorse for something we felt pushed into doing, against our spirit, against our instinct.

There are small things that matter deeply to us. Calling someone to tell them something, a little habit we loved that meant a lot to us.

Our spirit can go into rage if for some reason, maybe something so small that we decided it wasn’t a priority but in fact it was.

Remorse at betrayal of oneself, is a rage extremely difficult to face because nine times out of ten, we built a personality, a life, a way of being, on that betrayal and exhuming it means demolishing this whole life we built and then rebuilding it all over again.

Sometimes we just don’t have the strength to even face such a project.

We’re so tired and spent from years of struggling to hold up this huge mountain of heaviness that we can’t face the prospect of all it would take to tear it up and start from zero.

Datura breaks the falsity down so we can come back to zero.

Through my life, I’ve learned from depending on Datura over the years, to live at zero.

To be happy, a human does not need a complicated “established” mountain of baggage. All it takes to have a happy life, is to be able to feel the breeze on your face, taste what you’re eating and drinking, and stretch out when the day is done and surrender your body and soul to the keeping of God.

Over and over, Datura brings us back to that simple state of being.

Half a tspoon of dried datura plant or a pinch of any fresh part of the plant to three cups of hot water, let sit for five minutes is as much dose as you need for a tea.

It will heat up your body, relieve joint pain triggered by cold or wet weather, and get blood moving all over. It will also put you to sleep.

Warning – NEVER take datura tea if you have to do a test the next day, or anything you can’t put off if you’re not feeling up to it.

Because its effects can run for 3 days and even up to a week. You never know when its effect will show.

Datura oil applied topically over a place that hurts, or your feet and hands before bed-time is a gentle way to have Datura in your life.

The dream space is Datura’s own home town because there we can face things that we cannot face in our waking time because our brain blocks things out of insecurity or programing.

I’ve found that our cells in certain parts of our body hold memory – not just the brain and Datura oil applied where we’re hurting or tense, brings out the repressed rage there, from those places.

Very often I’ve found the pain in those places never returns, and in the days, weeks and months following there is a change of consciousness that results in a life change – a sure sign of true healing.

There are diluted versions of Datura Stramonium available in homeopathic stores. I am not a homeopath, however I have knowledge of how various dilution levels of herbs work as my Granddad made and used them as part of our traditional medicine that predates classical homeopathy by thousands of years.

I refer to the homeopathic names because these are the dilution levels available easily and inexpensively nearly all over the world.

Larkspur or Staphsagriya – Rage connected to Humiliation

larkspur-herbal-medicine

I first came across the power of Larkspur as a child. I used to enjoy the Nancy Drew mystery books and I was captivated by the cover of “The Password to Larkspur Lane.”

The book cover shows a woman in a wheelchair divulging a secret across a fence, while a man stares angrily from behind, with larkspur growing nearby.

larkspur-lane-staphsagriya-herbal.jpgPicture Source

The scene lingered in my sub-consciousness.

A few days after I read that book there was very heavy rainfall and I was walking on the road, facing down, because the rain was so heavy, if I lifted my head up, I’d be blinded by the water. I was also looking down because the stones which formed the bridge from the street itself to our gate, had spaces between them and you had to be careful not to put your feet over those places.

I was just about going to put my foot on one of the stones when I had this sudden flash of the cover of the book “Password to Larkspur Lane” flash in front of me with the vivid Larkspur flowers”.

I remembered the woman in the wheelchair telling Nancy the secret. She was the insider, revealing what would solve the mystery and end the evil. And suddenly I had an instinct that it’s the imprisoned, the helpless, the otherwise hidden away, those society considers worthless that are the agents of change like nothing I could have imagined before.

The very fact that they’re still alive despite being supposedly invalid – what does that mean? They are actually of such high value that not just God but man too insists on keeping them alive.

They’re not hidden because they’re ugly or weak. They’re hidden because someone fears them. Because they are the enemy of the evil. And yet the evil cannot do without them. Their own enemy keeps them alive.

They are power.

I was ten years old then, and the way I looked at the world changed forever. I began to look for the deep, for what slipped through the cracks, for what crossed the fences.

I began to hear in my own subconscious, the voice of the woman in the wheelchair whispering across the fence. The voice of the one who knew things, us “out in the sun” could not know.

Ladies and Gentlemen, there are secrets inside us, like rocks. With our conscious mind it’s hard to understand them. It’s like they’re in a different language.

Have you ever felt that you cannot understand or express something about yourself because it’s in a different language? A frequency you don’t get anymore? But some part of you obviously clings to?

Larkspur is the unlocker of those secrets of our subconscious.

As an adult I have used Larkspur – highly highly diluted tincture – in moments of complete helplessness and frustration, when I was clogged up and just couldn’t get a grip on things.

Think woman in a wheelchair imprisoned for life. That sort of helplessness and frustration minus the visible wheelchair.

Every time I had Larkspur, my soul release came, sometimes in hours, sometimes it took a few days. Somehow the rage found a way from some language only my soul knew to some form of expression that I could understand.

I find it beyond amazing how a FLOWER could have such powers. There aren’t shrinks or psychics or pastors or whatever – who could do that. And this flower does that. It translates your howling in gibberish pent up soul rage into some form of perceivable something that you can actually use as a stepping stone to move on.

This is something you’ll never believe until you’ve tried it.

This is the medicine for all those who feel like their voice is choked.

Sometimes terror is rage, and terror at the extent of your own anger.

One drop of any form dilution of Larkspur will do once every few days.

It’s the sort of flower that will guide your instinct.

For example, those with severe pent up rage due to humiliation – the sort which makes a person’s face flushed with rage they don’t know how to express, a drop of larkspur in their eye tonic, or face splash helps.

Like I said, you’ll never believe it until you try it. And if you really need it, you will try it, now or whenever the memory of reading this comes back to you.

Henbane – Hyoscamus Niger – Pyramid of Rage – Hidden Abuse

henbane-hyoscamus-herbal-medicine

I read on the internet about how this was a favorite of evil witches and the stuff of nightmares and murders.

My Granddad never gave me any of that sort of drama. All plants are our family members and Granddad treated them all just so.

Granddad had a cane of henbane wood. I never saw it, he just told me he had it somewhere. Why it came up was because Granddad had these marks on his right palm, caused by putting pressure on something for a long time. I asked him what had made those marks and he told me it was his henbane walking stick.

I was surprised. Granddad didn’t need a walking stick, I’d never seen him with one.

“It’s for when I climb,” he said to me. “She helps me climb up. With hind’s feet in high places.”

“Hind’s feet in high places,” is taken out of the Bible, the very last bit of the book written by the prophet Habakkuk, that phrase always fascinated me.

“Why hind’s feet?” I asked.

“Because hind’s (the female deer) feet are so sensitive, they can find places on the high rocks safe to put one’s feet and body weight on while climbing. Do you know what gives the hind that gift, Cara?”

“Something about pressure sensors underfoot?”

“No.”

“Just instinct?”

“No.”

“What then!”

“The desire to reach the top caused by the vision of how it must feel, how it must be to reach there. The VISION Cara, the VISION, the VISION.”

“Oh my God, alright! I got it. The VISION!”

“Not just the vision of the eyes, but the vision of the spirit. Do you know what that is, Cara?”

“Yes I do!”

“Give me an example.”

“Oh alright. Let me think.”

<Long time passes.>

It’s like when I was traveling to this ancient temple town, maybe two thousand years old, and about twenty minutes before I reached there, I could see these temples that I had not even seen pictures of before. And they weren’t like other ancient temples either. They were very different. But I could see them, and smell them too. I could feel them. AND they weren’t painted white in ancient times but they had only recently been painted white before I went there. And I saw them white.”

“What you’re describing is premonition vision. A sort of prophetic vision. That’s rare. Now give me an example of vision from daily life, something that’s a vision of the moment, not the past or the future.”

“Alright. Let me think.”

<Long time passes.>

“Ok, it’s like when I go vegetable shopping, and I’m looking at the vegetables and I get flashes of instinct of how they’ll look when they’re done cooking and in a serving bowl.”

“Cara, that’s the future again!”

“Oh ok… Let me think.”

<Long time passes.>

Alright, how about when I’m thinking of someone, and suddenly I can see what’s in their heart? It’s so clear sometimes. I just know.

That’s better. Vision in the moment is a inner clarity about a situation or a person.

What’s this got to do with hind’s feet and henbane?

The hind’s got to be in that inner clarity zone, right there thousands of feet above the chasm where one slip could end her life, where there are no other hinds up above her telling her, “You can do it baby!” No books, no phones, no help.

And Henbane’s that frequency.

Yes.

That’s why you have a cane of Henbane for when you climb. I see. Nice, Granddad. How do I get one?

You’ll never get one.

Why not!

You’re the henbane yourself.

Well why do you have one then? You’re not Henbane?

Someone gifted it to me. It looks good on the climb. Makes me seem mysterious. The younger uns get downright terrified of its knarls and knots. I get first rights over food and water.

Granddad!

Now Cara, remember, climbing is ninety percent vision and?

And?

The remaining one percent is?

I don’t know. What is it?

Letting go of that which weighs you down.

Hmm. Henbane helps with that?

Yes. It’s so light itself, it makes everything else feel so heavy so quickly, you start throwing off the unimportant things.

Granddad this is a lot for me to deal with right now. Yeah I know what you’ll say – that I’ll remember it later when I need it.

Yes.

———-

I remembered what Granddad said when I needed to.

Henbane’s the angel you need to keep your inner vision clear in tricky high places. If you’re there, you’ll know already what I mean.

Why I included it in this article is because there’s a sort of rage that I call a rage pyramid.

It’s because it’s rage at what was once an everyday abuse in your life, but gradually the abuse began to reduce and perhaps at the time of reading this, you don’t have the abuse anymore in your life. But the tip of the pyramid is still in your life and through it comes the entire built up pressure of the entire body of the rage of all those times.

The visible abuse is almost gone, except for this tiny tiny little manifestation. A chronic health problem, a repeating scenario of failure that comes up every now and then and bursts your bubble of happiness, a memory that comes up at the wrong times and makes you feel hopeless all over again.

If it weren’t important, it wouldn’t.

Henbane’s that frequency of sensitivity that can find and pull that out.

My Dad who was the neighborhood help-of-all in disaster, once had to dive into a well that had a sandy bottom to rescue a little child who had fallen in. The sand at the bottom of the well had shifted and covered the unconscious child. My Dad holding his breath for as long as he could began to search for clues. He then thought he saw a hair and very gently without breaking it followed it under the sand,  found it was attached to the child’s head. Dad rescued the child by that hair.

I think of henbane as something that gives us that sensitivity – to be able to pull a whole unconscious child out by one hair that’s still sticking out above the surface.

Henbane or Hyoscamus Niger is also to be taken only highly diluted and works best when you take a little of it every day over a long period.

At the time you start, you write down somewhere, exactly why you’re taking it. And then you take it till you feel you’ve reached a point where you can say you’ve reached where you wanted to be.

This is important because with Henbane’s sensitivity, you could find yourself distracted by things that aren’t so important. So write your aims down, that will sit in your subconscious and then whether it’s a year or two years or five years or twelve years, keep taking the highly diluted Henbane, just top off a finished bottle with more spring water, or distilled water or colloidal silver water, or water + 70% everclear and keep taking it, till you don’t need climbing support anymore.

Let me tell you, it isn’t a very pleasant thing having the sensitivity to find a needle in the haystack. But a time will come when you’ll realize that it was worth it.

henbane-hyoscamus-niger-nerve-painlevel, the dilution of Henbane relieves nerve pain in places other herbs find hard to reach. The inner ear, pain of the nerves because of hernia, certain types of sciatic pain, pain in the fine nerves of the throat and chronic nerve pain or neuropathy in the fingers and toes.

When the plant dries after the season the delicate fine flower pods remain – a message the spirit gets. A display of finesse in creation. Every cell of every nerve so carefully defined and true to nature.

That’s how we become when we live with sensitivity to our spirit. We become in every way, and in every part, true to our nature.

Mandrake – Podophyllum – Rage connected to Sorrow

mandrake-podophyllum-herbal-medicine.jpg
Picture of Podophyllum in Brentsville, Virginia, USA

There are two kinds of Mandrake – the old world type of the Middle East and Europe- Mandragorum and the American Mandrake or Podophyllum or Mayapple.

As it’s the latter that’s most easily available these days I am focusing on it for this article. The other Mandrake works pretty much the same with a few differences that are not so important to mention as far as this topic goes.

The mandrake is legendary as an aphrodisiac. My Granddad staunchly was against the use of herbs as aphrodisiacs. “If a man or a woman is not drawn to another naturally, it is a crime to force attraction by any means.”

The mandrake however is so very much more than an aphrodisiac.

It’s an old treatment for ‘rage of sorrow‘.

When a person has lost all they loved, and the hole left is so big they feel it can never be filled or healed again; that sorrow.

In our times we see this most often in those people who have been displaced from their hometowns or countries to another place.

Our hearts have a life that’s made of everyday loving.

When that heart-life gets killed or stopped, and we are unable to express our sorrow -perhaps because we don’t even know how deeply we are affected – it becomes a rage inside with manifestations in the body like chronic inflammation, the need for constant comfort food and so on.

Often it blocks our natural desire to express our heart through sexuality, art, creative pursuits.

Every now and then, someone will tell me that they used to play a musical instrument but don’t anymore, or they used to sing or dance, or have some form of creative expression but they stopped.

And very often, if you look at it, the time you stopped enjoying what you enjoy, is most often the time your heart-life stopped. Suddenly you didn’t have the energy or will anymore to pursue what made you happy before.

Podophyllum is on that frequency we were in as a child, exploring the world without preconceived notions, where we could find pleasure in the simple things of life.

It helps us connect to the underground sea of sorrow that’s blocked out our childlike enjoyment of ourselves, and drain it out.

It’s not an immediate or even quick process. It’s a long process and sometimes you might feel like the mourning will never end. But it will.

Again, a diluted dose is more than enough, but this works best taken everyday at least.

It’s especially great for children who have faced a tragedy and are unable to terms with it.

Herbs to use with the Big 4

Those I use in combination with either one or two of the big 4 mentioned above are the following. You can use as many of them together as you please. Just keep the dose small but regular. If you don’t feel any of them are applicable to you, don’t use any of them. Never use a herb that doesn’t absolutely call to your heart.

I’m just listing the one main thing about each herb as is applicable to releasing pent up rage. They’re each a powerhouse in their own way.

Salix Nigra or Black Willow

For those who have pain in the nerves of their hands.

Viola Odorata

For those with a history of heart weakness.

Lily of the Valley

For those with a history of trauma as a child where they closed their ears to shut out the sounds.

Poison Ivy – Rhus Tox

For those who have a history of Irritable Bowel Syndrome – ie. they swing between diarhhea and constipation most of the time.

Sanguinaria – Bloodroot

For those with a history of cramping and restless legs syndrome.

Mountain Rhododendron or Azalea

For those who have had problems with speech and expressing themselves in writing.

Morning Glory

For those with the tendency to destroy things they love or like.

Frailty and Fragility Support – Butterfly Bush – Buddleja

butterfly-bush-buddleja-buddleia-herbal-uses.jpg
This beautiful flower’s fragrance is most stunning in the night. It’s spicy and sweet and refreshing.

When a flower sends out its fragrance at night, you know that it helps in the regenerative functions of the brain and nervous system. That means it helps repair damage to the brain and nerves that we go through during the day, helps recovery from stress.

This flower does send its fragrance out in the day as well but it is most concentrated in the late evenings and night.

The tea made from its leaves and flowers is a wonderful calming relaxing cuppa without any of the extra tartness or extra heaviness that can be irritating in other herbs. It is just right.

The tincture is absorbed into the body without any sudden drastic reactions, almost like the gut accepts baby food.

This is my remedy of choice, for the hyper-sensitive, for the fragile, for those in need of the gentlest help in the most sensitive of nerve endings. For babies, for those recovering from surgery, for the frail aged, for new mothers.

It works as a painkiller and mild sedative in nerve ending pain.

Wherever in the body there is frailty and fragility that’s the cause of a problem – whether in the nerve endings or the inner linings of the blood vessels or organs, or intestines (think Crohn’s and IBS!) this is the angel sent by God to help uphold and strengthen the weakest littlest parts of us.

Emotionally or physically our system is one and frailty and fragility are part of everyone’s life experience at some time or the other.

This is the frailty and fragility and hyper-sensitivity expert.

I use it along with or instead of Cypripedium or Lady’s Slipper depending on the particular needs of the person.

buddleja-butterfly-bush-herbal-medicine.jpg

This plant has a lot in common with Lantana in its ability to support the liver in recovery from vibrational damage.

What is vibrational damage? Damage caused by radiation, EMF and so on are examples of vibrational damage.

While the whole body is affected by vibrational damage, the liver bears a lot of the brunt for a long time after because it has the extra work of processing out all those cell waste products that got stopped from being processed out during the vibrational assault, as the body redirected its energy to maintain itself instead of doing housekeeping tasks.

Too much vibrational damage clogs up the liver with so much extra work and stress because of it.

Taking powerful detoxifying herbs can help sometimes, but when your liver is tired, those can tire it out even more. Liver supportive herbs like Milk Thistle, Dandelion, Chicory, and especially this one – Buddleja or Butterfly Bush can help regenerate those tired and frail parts of the liver and help things come back to normal.

buddleia-asiatica-liver-damage.jpg
Buddleia Asiatica – Yellow Flowered Buddleja growing in a water stressed area

This is a grounding herb whose benefits for the voice I discovered quite by accident. Sometimes stress, sleep deprivation and the like can cause the nerve endings in the throat to go out of whack.

I always know the state of my throat because several times a day I have to call out my son’s name. He’s an “explorer” you see. Someone has to keep an eye when child explorers roam free inside a house. So all the time, I hear myself calling out his name and it’s a good indication of the state of my throat as the same name comes out in different pitches and different volumes and different tones through the day.

On a day when my voice was especially stressed, I was at the park with him, when I found myself standing a huge Buddleja bush feeling incredible pain relief in my throat just enveloped in its beautiful scent.

I came home and had some of the tea and found my voice changed almost instantly after that, sounding and feeling so much better.

I mention this here because there are mighty few herbs that will make such drastic difference to a VOICE that quickly. It’s about the little nerve endings that few other herbs ever manage to get to.  (If you’re interested in rehabilitation of the voice, you might want to check out my much appreciated article –How to Heal the Voice. )

All flowers help energy recovery but Buddleja deserves a very special mention. There’s a sort of energy draining, often sexual energy draining, that comes from nerve ending strain that causes constant energy leaking. Well energy doesn’t leak like water, but it can dissipate and that shows in the body with the bladder leaking (incontinence), the blood vessels like the veins leak, skin cappilaries breaking easily (rashes, redness, bruising).

We’re talking fragility again.

All kinds of leaking – urinary, sexual, blood, vital energy, emotional leaking – Buddleja can help by strengthening nerve endings.

I often use it in combination with Saw Palmetto, Gelsemium, Tribulus Terristris, Yarrow, to stop leaking and support capillary repair and strength.

Because it’s such an expert in fine nerve repair, we’re talking highly specialized Elf darner of frayed delicate nerve endings here, it’s been used for vision support, to heal nerve endings in the eyes. I use it with Celandine and Scullcap for a most amazing healing nerve regenerative effect in the eyes.

You get the picture by now. Frail – fragile nerve endings – Buddleja.

It’s amazing how much the energy processes of our bodies depend on fine nerve endings and how caring for them can boost our overall vital energy retention and quality of life.

Banyan Tree Fruit – The Kansas City Shuffle – Breaking out of a Stalemate Situation

banyan-herbal-medicine
All you can see in the picture, is ONE Banyan tree that spreading out.

The fruit of the banyan tree is as much a wonder and a miracle as the rest of the tree. It develops according to the biorhythms of the tree and can be found around the year depending on how the tree has acclimatized to where it is.

This tree’s virility of rooting, growth and spreading – so much so one tree can cover acres and acres of land, are legendary.

Naturally the fruit has been used as support for sexual energy deficiencies and fertility in both men and women.

banyan-tree-aerial-roots
This is a young Banyan Tree putting out its first aerial roots about fifteen feet up from the ground.

However it isn’t exactly an aphrodisiac. Rather, it works on a very basic level providing all the basic nutrition a person needs, much like baby food does, repairing a person on a very basic level so fertility and everything it needs all come in one big package.

Nutritionally, the more popular fig – Ficus Carica – beats it as a food. But when it comes to trace minerals, the banyan fruit – Ficus Benghalensis is on a whole other level.

While it doesn’t have the sugars of the popular fig, essential food for sustenance, especially in the warm climate the common fig is native to, what the banyan fruit does have is those trace substances that address a person’s vital requirements for growth and repair.

In situations where a person is unable for some reason to work up the mojo to get past a plateau in healing or progress; when there’s a wound that simply won’t heal, when the person seems to be going around in circles getting ill, becoming alright, falling ill, getting well – really well, before relapsing – and this isn’t because of an obvious condition in the environment that’s causing the problem, the fruit of the Banyan helps breakthrough.

It is my medicine of choice to break a stalemate situation especially those that have an element of lack or deficiency in them. Where the person cannot seem to RETAIN or SUSTAIN energy long enough to break through.

If someone says they’ve been in the same situation a long long while with ups and downs but always keep coming back to square one or ground zero – whatever you call it – I put banyan fruit in their medicine. It simply cannot hurt anyone – human or animal of any age.

In unnecessarily high doses it can cause vertigo in those who have been nutritionally deprived as the body spins into action to absorb the trace minerals it offers.

Have you heard of the Kansas City Shuffle? It’s this sort of method of bringing out a hidden enemy, or tricking one, by pretending to be one of the preys of the predator. The enemy reveals their location and becomes vulnerable as they come out to get the prey and have basically walked into a trap.

That’s how the banyan fruit works. It provides all the basic nutrition that makes predatory illnesses – ie. energy patterns not natural to the human body and the cells that carry them, lurking around the body like vampires, go dizzy with delight and think, “Yay, this is good stuff.” They go into overdrive, feasting on the nutrition and realize too late – this is not the common fig – this is the fruit of the banyan tree. “We should’ve googled it before feasting on it. We cannot really digest this stuff. We’re not natural. We only eat sugar. Oh no, oh no…. ”

Before long the unnatural cell is a dead cell and being thrown out.

I often combine banyan fruit with Milk Thistle and other support for the liver and for the lymphatic system to help throw out the dead cells and finish the job.

Now this is not something that happens overnight and it is quite draining and not advisable to use big doses of Banyan Fruit on its own. A better course of action is a smaller dose spread over six months to a year along with other herbs to help the body adjust to the changes brought about by the Banyan Fruit.

When the body changes, the consciousness changes. When the consciousness changes, our life changes. Every natural herb you make part of your life changes your consciousness and your life, whether you can see it or not.

The fruit of the banyan changes a life in very basic ways as it provides basic nutrition you might’ve been lacking for years or decades, changes on levels that might not be obvious but which as time goes is the equivalent of a paradigm shift.

Slow and steady wins the race, they say. The banyan fruit totally expresses that proverb into physical reality.

banyan-fruit-herbal-medicine
Banyan Fruit just before I cut them up to make tincture of them in vinegar. I prefer vinegar in this case because it retains the trace minerals that alcohol does not retain.

7 Angels of Thwarted Passion – Herbs to Change Inherited Energy Patterns

It’s unbelievable – the effect that the lives of our ancestors have on us, whether an animal or a human or a plant, . The more people and animals I made treatments for, the more I realize how important it is to deal with underlying patterns of energy management to find complete release from ill-health ourselves.

In our times, the first line of action to treat a condition is to treat the symptoms of it. If it’s an infection, take an antibiotic, if it’s a pain, take a painkiller.

But my Granddad gave people a drink and never bothered his time over the symptoms beyond that. He used to say to me,

“Check if their heart’s flowing out right. See where the Passion’s stopped. Say hello to that place. And then keep the hell away while they explode. “

Passion – there’s no other word for it – is life energy. It is so powerful that if it was suppressed or thwarted generations ago it stays there in the consciousness and passes down and has its effects generation after generation.

The classical homeopaths called inherited energy patterns “miasms”. They’re a sort of inherited consciousness illness.

Believe it or not, one of the most common miasms is called the ‘syphilis miasm’ and is supposed to be the energy pattern inherited from an ancestor with syphilis that didn’t fully get cured.

Now I was curious about that, because if syphilis is just an infection, how on earth can that affect someone 7 generations down?

Granddad explained to me that the condition that expressed itself as infection was actually thwarted or suppressed passion or life energy. And it was so powerful as to create an energy field that chronically mismanaged passion or life energy resulting in dysfunction on several levels. This pattern of consciousness has a snowballing effect through the generations and finally reaches a point where one of the descendants is so debilitated that they have to stop life as normal and deal with it.

Eggs and sperm don’t contain actual toxins from our ancestors, but they do carry the entire energy field and all its experiences. That’s how we get ‘racial memory’ and inherited tendencies towards illnesses.

Those who carry patterns of passion suppression just know it. Because the No. 1 sign of it is, they simply feel unable to express their feelings physically. They can feel their feelings, they can describe them, but they cannot EXPRESS them to their satisfaction.

This is the tip of a pyramid of energy patterns in the body and system that suppress life energy, and as a result of which there are often huge pockets of unreleased toxins – actual physical toxins – or small pockets of toxins in particular key areas causing problems.

In a body, very often, as these are the result of consciousness frozen in time, these can be experienced as some parts of the body not vibrating at the same frequency as other parts of the body. It literally feels like those cells are in another time altogether while the surrounding cells are in a different time.

Imagine a country where every mile, one village’s date is 1800 and the next village is 1926 and the next one is 1500 and the next one is 1980 and the next 2020. How would communication, transport and everyday life be possible in that country when they don’t have a common time?

It’s just chaos and havoc.

So without further ado, here are my 7 Angels of Time Release – complete troublemakers each of them, that not only release deep and buried toxins from the body, but change the energy patterns that keep them there.

7 Angel Herbs to Repair Life Energy Suppression Patterns

1) Blue Flag – Iris Versicolor

This one’s a famous old remedy for releasing ‘deep’ toxins. I’ve always seen Iris as the flower that blooms at the very beginning of spring starting off the season.

Suppression of the feelings associated with the timing of the flowering of a plant is often healed and resolved by the taking of that plant as medicine.

That feeling of beginning – the years of life when Passion stirs inside us for the first time, around puberty usually, but for some people earlier and for some later, when that early passion is suppressed or thwarted – whether it was love for music or nature or a person, that becomes a ball of rage in the gut of a person creating anger patterns.

Energy patterns where the body has huge rushes of energy sometime and is totally limp and weak at other times, never seeming to be in the right mood at the right time, go back to suppression of the first rising of passion.

Diabetes – or an imbalance in the way the body manages sugar or sweetness – is a very common symptom of this sort of energy suppression.

Chronic allergies are also an example of the body not being able to balance energy flow, overeating sometimes and then going tired in-between bouts or over-reactions.

Chronic blood toxicity, insufficient breast milk in a mother, and disappointing or insufficient sexual release are all indications of suppression of first passion and Blue Flag or Iris will help.

It would have to be taken – a small dose – a drop to 25 ml of water, put it in a bottle and taken twice a day over weeks and months. You’ll know when you no longer need to take it, you’ll just outgrow it.

But for a while let it hold your hand and show you that side of yourself that was you in the first spring of your life, your first passion. And then lovingly let your life of now, change to let that passion come through.

2) Parthenium Grass or Wild Feverfew

This grass is so demonized because apparently it’s toxic to some livestock and can cause rashes and dermatitis in some. And it’s supposed to be terribly invasive.

When you see that word ‘invasive‘ know that means passionate fertility.

You take any plant that’s “invasive” – that’s a plant with passion and that plant treats suppressed passion energy patterns. Lantana is one of those plants and everything I say about Parthenium is more or less true for Lantana as well, but I’ll stick with Parthenium Weed because I’ve long term solid experience with it.

It’s my one killer game changer ingredient in my treatment for spreading warts (inherited tendency!!) and melanoma of the skin (cancer). The original recipe had very powerful herbs that could remove warts and have been used to do so for a long time – like Thuja – but how do you stop the TENDENCY to keep MAKING new warts? What’s the point of breaking down wart cells while the body PASSIONATELY makes new wart cells?

Sometimes the body will PASSIONATELY make a wart on the exact same other side of the face when you take it out from one side of the face. Now if that isn’t a statement what is!

Enter Parthenium Weed or Wild Feverfew.

Parthenium Passion is what I call this plant. It’s beautiful. I’ve plucked it and made tincture out of it without any of terrible things happening that they warn you about.

However, a few days after it was soaking, it began to stink. Now I cannot describe to you, how bad it stank. It was like a hormonal teenage boy’s seven day old unwashed socks. No, it was worse. The house had to have all windows open and fans on for hours after I opened the bottle to have a sniff – because I can only tell when I smell a tincture, how its going, I can’t just look at it like others do, or have faith in time that, “in 6-8 weeks it’ll be done” – I have to SMELL it.

And this one was just horrific. I shut the bottle with horror and dared only many months later to open it again. It stank still but nowhere like before. I strained it out and began to use it. It was AMAZING to say the least. Here’s a picture of how a wart that was a combination or cluster of warts got broken down using Parthenium Weed. You cannot break those down and keep them down usually because you have to break the tendency to re-form them.

Caraf Avnayt - Herbalist

But back to the stink. That was when I realized that Parthenium treated hormonal suppression. It treats the disorders caused by suppression of passion – which is suppression of sexual hormones in the days when the body is releasing them in huge doses.

A healthy human experiences those times throughout their lives. But in recent generations, passion has been so suppressed that it has become a phenomenon associated with “turbulent teenage” – turbulent simply because if the body didn’t rebel at that young age, it never was going to have a chance to rebel again, it was going to have to be a responsible sensible adult and it knew this was its last chance to be unrestrained.

I could write books about the effect of suppression or thwarting sexual energy and so could most of you by now.

But here is a plant that will have none of that bullshit. There are whole countries and the United Nations defaming this plant, trying to eradicate it. But any walk you take pretty much anywhere in the world, at some point or the other, you’re going to see it, kicking ass as usual under some hedge or fence, doing its thing – spreading its genes 😉 .

It’s supportive medicine for when the body is aggressively resisting healing. No matter what you take, if a condition- ANY condition – whether an infection or a cancer or a particular bone or joint keeps having trouble, or your hair insists on falling out. If the body’s insisting on keeping the problem going, it just means it’s protesting suppression.

That means passion has been and is being suppressed and Parthenium grass can help change the self-suppression energy pattern to ‘spread my genes’ mode.

No, this plant will not make you Genghis Khan with children on every continent. It’ll just help you not be afraid to express your passion in whichever way your passion wants to come out.

This is not a remedy – it’s a journey, a pilgrimage, a return to innocence.

3) Turmeric

Good old turmeric is so popular for treating cancer and what not. I’ve had so much turmeric in my life that didn’t make one bit of a difference to me. And then I found wild turmeric root up in the mountains and woah…. my whole perception of this herb changed drastically overnight.

It’s actually a crash course in anger management. Anger in the body – I don’t know if you’ve experienced it – but it’s what you feel when your body WANTS to go out running but has to sit indoors. It’s what you feel when you need to sleep but you’re forced to wake up. It can go from anger to rage. Real rage just waiting for a chance to blow up.

There are conditions that result from the tension created in the body by such situations – tension that’s recreated through generations.

Dissipation – or the tendency to lose energy halfway through a task, as if in fear of the pleasure of completion, is one manifestation of suppressed anger.

The person’s sense of identity is suppressed to the one who ‘tries’, who ‘works at something’ but never the one who ‘finds’, who ‘wins’, who ‘achieves’. Actually reaching the conclusion or end of something signifies a change of identity – a change that would result in others no longer accepting the person, so they restrict themselves to being an eternal ‘worker’ just to fit in, while deep down they rage and rage.

This tendency is found in those people groups that were suddenly taken out of their ancestral occupations and forced into other things that didn’t quite satisfy them. So that’s a huge chunk of modern humanity there.

As they grow up they develop to be creative, expressive and all that. And then they get a desk job and one year into the job, and the atmosphere of being around those who are content with being nothing but ‘workers’ and depression hits them.

Their sense of identity can never be ‘just another number in the system’ and yet day after day that’s what they’re told they are.

The old rage in them builds up again and if they don’t find ways to enforce their self identity, to express their passion and enjoy themselves expressing their passion and feel proud of themselves for it, the rage will start wasting their muscles, causing visible shrinking and all the effects of aging before our time.

That’s the body saying, “I ain’t having any of this non-life anymore.”

It’s time to get a life. Almost literally.

Turmeric helps reverse the tendencies of early aging, dissipation of energy (IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN) and helps the tissues of body get back to holding energy without leaking.

There’s an energy pattern where a person that has been used as a source of emotional and vital energy, ie. for vampirical energy draining, to protect themselves from the repeat trauma, begins to self drain regularly as a survival mechanism just to not go through the trauma that comes when they fill up with energy.

Over time the body goes limp as it is never allowed to fill up with energy, and kept constantly drained itself.

Turmeric helps the body slowly get back to holding more and more vital energy so that goals can actually be reached.

There’s an element of loneliness associated with this sort of healing, because very often, it takes cutting off from the surrounding environment to assert oneself. But this is a good loneliness because it makes a person able to see life and others very clearly and it makes them able to decide on a life that suits them rather than go with the flow and have an unhappy life up ahead.

If you’ve ever had a time of life when you were physically drastically low in energy compared to before, and you never really recovered your vitality, turmeric taken over some months – whether as a little bit of the root put into your tea, or as tincture – will help rehabilitate your system.

Make sure to find ways to be the awesomeness of you instead of ‘just another worker’. Know that anything that clubs a real human with a heart in with others is a LIE. A damn lie.

4) Narcissus or Daffodil

I love narcissus. They named it after the god who fell in love with his own reflection – giving us the ‘narcissist’ word. That word’s been used as a bad thing for some reason.

I outright refuse to accept self love as anything but wonderful.

Whyever shouldn’t we fall in love with ourselves!!!!

It a conspiracy I tell you – against the very heart of humanity.

I first used Narcissus as a replacement for Colchium Autumnale as a remedy to treat the nervous debility caused by sleep trauma and sleep loss. I was amazed when in an emergency it gave me such relief and decided to look into it used regularly for recovery from long term chronic nervous trauma.

It’s poisonous and has to be taken in highly diluted doses like 1 drop to 100ml and that used a few drops twice a day.

It works like a mirror of the consciousness therefore helping us perceive ourselves and be able to deal with things rather than being in a fog of confusion and over time feeling like we’re just broken beyond repair.

There’s a chronic body inflammation such as precedes full blown arthritis that is associated with the habit of self recrimination, being overly critical of oneself because of never being able to actually go in any direction towards healing.

This is the sort of tendency – which often crops us generation after generation – which Narcissus helps relieve.

The relief is simple – it’s falling in love with yourself, acknowledging your own sensuality.

My Granddad once told me that all health problems can be solved with this exercise. You stand naked in front of the mirror and draw yourself as you see yourself. Everyday.

Naturally I had to try. So I did it – just once. And I drew myself as I saw myself – not as I would have liked to look.

And I fell in love with myself. I didn’t know why, the love just came.

Loving yourself, is not something someone can teach you. The only way to it, is to experience your own self.

Self-hatred has been promoted as a virtue and is in fact a deadly epidemic and STD.

If you’ve been touched by this disease consciously make every attempt to heal from it and shun all that which carries it. It is deadly, believe me. It makes the body burn, the organs burns, and causes systemic dysfunction where there’s a full blown rebellion.

Acknowledging and loving and enjoying your own passion, your own life energy, your own sexuality is a foundation of life you CANNOT do without.

If you don’t feel your sexiness, there’s very little chance anyone else will.

And don’t worry you won’t make an ass of yourself feeling sexy even though you don’t look like . It’ll only make you more attractive.

5) Ash tree – Fraxinus Excelsior

This good old tree called Fraxinus Excelsior in Europe and Fraxinus Americana in America has been used medicinally for all kinds of things.

What you need to remember about it is two words – Genetic Memory.

See a lot of inherited energy patterns which didn’t cause our parents problems, cause us problems, but because we’re not bringing up out of our memory the way to deal with those energy patterns the way our ancestors did.

This is a weakness of the energy field in a very core part of us, the part of us that developed as our body was first formed as a fetus, when we began to express our sexuality in the formation of our very early primal body.

In those days of early formation, when our sexual being forms, based on that primal sexuality, we choose which parts of the full genetic code available to us, we want to give energy to and which might not be that important to us.

And sometimes what we as fetuses living in cushy comfort inside our mothers estimate will be required in the life ahead, turns out to be not quite right.

So we develop all these abilities which would’ve been wonderful if we lived in heavenly magical places but not so good for Middle Earth where trolls roam.

The Ash wakes up in us the memory of the development of primal sexual being and makes us able to tap into our genetic code to find ways to deal with the energetic patterns our body is responding to our current environment with.

This changes our perception of ourselves, our lives, our problems, quite drastically, as we reinforce our sexual primal being.

See, the only sort of ‘being’ we have, is our ‘sexual’ being.

Remove our sexual being and we’re no one, nothing. That’s the truth whether we like it or not.

And the Ash helps us connect to that basic part of us and help the rest of us vibrate back to our basic frequency so we can be all we are.

Now you might think this is all a lot of talk. But in reality you’d be amazed at how many problems of the body can be resolved by supporting re-expression of our primal sexuality.

Problems with speech, motor control, chronic IBS, nervous degeneration, sensory deficiencies caused by atrophy of eye muscles (for example), not to mention just about any problem with arrested or suppressed development of the reproductive system.

All these are caused by not being able to express the primal sexuality with which we develop in our earliest days and months.

And how wonderful it is, that this beautiful tree which lives in its simple first self even when its a huge big tree, can help us be like that too.

You cannot cause yourself a problem taking Ash medicinally.

JUST DO IT.

6) Daphne -Spurge Laurel

Daphne came to me one morning, two mornings before a big tragedy hit me. It is also a poison, considered an invasive weed (in Oregon, US for example), another one of those which have whole institutions trying to get rid of it.

But two mornings after I had it, a sudden unexpected tragedy hit me. The sort of tragedy that would in my own estimation of a few days before have finished me.

I looked back at it and I realized that in the days just before the tragedy I’d had a drastic change of being. And I remembered Daphne and took it many times for a sort of ‘brain or consciousness reset’.

It removes the fog that collects over days and months or years that clouds our perception of things, that weighs us down so we can’t see things for what they are in the moment and make decisions for the moment. We’re bogged down by all kinds of crap in the head.

Daphne clears that stuff out, by just causing a sort of restart of our system. Like when we restart our phone or computer it works so much better.

But all that was just one side of Daphne. The side I want to tell you about in this article is about how Daphne helps one face the fear of Passion.

I don’t know how self realized you are, and I’m not very old in this lifetime, but what I’ve seen over and over and what my Granddad has attested to, is that Fear of Passion is a big problem and it results in the clouding of our perception to the point where even on a sub conscious level we don’t fully heal from anything, because if we did, we’d become sexy and we don’t WANT to face our own passion, forget anyone else’s.

The result of fear of passion is a terrible morose depression, where we keep going from one health condition to another… anything to excuse us from expressing life passion. Just anything to keep us feeling like we’re not good enough for the crazy all consuming passion that makes life LIFE.

It’s death. The fear of passion is death.

The Spurge Laurel is named after a river goddess called Daphne. The most handsome god called Apollo fell in love with her, but she decided to run from him. Someone she asked for help, turned her into a tree, rooting her into one spot. The leaves of THIS very tree – the laurel – are used to decorate the head of Apollo (the guy she was running from).

Now that’s a weird story. But a little look beneath the surface with the help of poet John Milton who called Daphne, “root bound” reveals that the story had a happy ending. That the fear and running was the problem and that rooting was the solution. The laurel leaves then became the mark and symbol of immortality, the triumph of passion. The triumph over the fear of sexuality.

‘Daphne was, root-bound, that fled Apollo’. Illustration by Arthur Rackham – from John Milton’s Comus, published 1921

To this day that’s what “laurels”means. Triumph, success, winning, kingship, overcoming the odds.

This tree that doesn’t provide edible fruit, or a lot of shade, is the ancient mark of triumph and successful completion, overcoming all odds, in every field and especially healing. Here it is with the caduceus, the symbol of healing and medicine.

7) Spikenard

Spikenard Root
Spikenard Root – Nardostacys Jatamansi

I’ve written so much about Spikenard over the years. How it makes the energy in the center of the body free to move it.

But there’s an aspect of Spikenard I haven’t written about much before. It’s about how it supports recovery from hidden sexual energy trauma.

Obvious sexual trauma isn’t that difficult to get over really…. once you face it and face it, it stops scaring you, and your sense of identity goes beyond the victim-hood of that experience and you move on.

But hidden sexual trauma is a whole other game. Hidden sexual trauma need not be caused by sexual assault the way we know it as sexual assault. The body and psyche and subconscious considers any attack on the SELF as sexual assault because we ARE our sexual being.

For example if someone curses us for being the child of our parents, our subconscious considers that sexual assault. And if that’s buried in us, it shows up in our sexual function as a debilitation or withdrawal from shame.

That’s just one example.

We’re particularly susceptible to this as children and many adults carry sexual trauma they cannot understand because as adults sexuality in our perception gets separated from the rest of us.

Whereas as children if someone put us down for something innately part of us, that we were born with, we took that as an assault on our sexuality. We felt it even when they didn’t SAY it. A lot of racism is sexual assault. A lot of bullying is sexual assault. Denying children something they want because of judging they’re not fit for it, or won’t be able to have or do it, that’s sexual assault.

That’s how the primal subconscious understands it.

Now in most cases this needs no treatment as it resolves on its own.

But there are those so broken inside because of hidden sexual assault done repeatedly, could even be in adulthood, keeping them broken, that their very persona as an adult begins to develop AROUND that, using crutches for support – crutches like the distraction of intellectual pursuit, or drug fueled sport, instead of developing personality and life on the solid flow of their own real sexual energy.

The sign of such a situation is the complete breakdown of life as we know it every few years. When we feel we’ve reached a dead end and there’s just not enough energy in us to keep going. We literally cannot live with ourselves anymore – even though mentally we know we’re wonderful people.

But we actually cannot live with the hidden trauma that’s blocking our sexual energy anymore. We’re just not OK with being our sexual self.

Granddad used to say, “Every crisis is an identity crisis.” And our sexual identity is the base of every other identity.

This is why those with gender confusion find life so difficult – because everything of life is based on sexual identity… everything.

Whole family groups have inherited sexual trauma from their very identity being denied; Made to feel ashamed for being their birth identity.

Anything that says to us, “You HAVE to change what you cannot change about yourself,” that is sexual assault. It forces us to cut off our natural energy flow and assume an alien energy pattern in which our sexual energy will never flow right, causing short circuits regularly.

The solution for us, is to re-develop sexual identity from scratch, validating our own selves. Not relying on others to recognize who we are, but recognizing and honoring our own selves.

That means never suppressing sexual energy when it flows of its own self. It means honoring our natural sexual impulse. It means changing the way we look at ourselves, not imposing a personality on ourselves for the sake of fitting in anywhere, or fitting an ideal, but allowing the natural expression of our primal self to come out in every day life.

For those who need such support, whose very energy of being, has been suppressed, manipulated, treated bad, the beautiful Spikenard which is one of nature’s greatest sources of Melatonin – the hormone that helps one sleep – is a beautiful support, aid and inspiration.

Spikenard as Herbal Medicine

This beautiful flower blooms high up in the mountains, blooming sweetly and freely, in lonely hidden places without caring one whit for what anyone thinks of it. Its root, Nard is a universally known symbol of love, made famous by the ‘Song of Solomon’ in the Bible.

Any weakness of the body has been treated with Spikenard since time immemorial and I believe they call it an ‘adaptogen’ these days.

You can get the essential oil and rub it on your wrists at bed-time. Some find it too strong. But if you need it, you’ll like it. You can get some root and put a strand or two into your tea every evening. It can be sleep inducing.

But most of the time, it’s passion inducing.

I’ve been recently advised by an internet article on how to get more business from my website, to end every article with a ‘Call to Action’.

So here’s this article’s Call to Action.

Ceanothus – New Jersey Tea – Recovery From Shock

Today I came across on a gardening show, the stunning ethereal Ceanothus.

Ceanothus Americana - New Jersey Tea or Red Root
Ceanothus Americana – New Jersey Tea or Red Root

Why it is called New Jersey Tea is because during the war of the American Revolution ie. the war which resulted in the USA forming as a country independent from Britain, American dependence on tea, which was at the time mostly imported through the British commercial networks, had to be stopped.

The leaves of this wild shrub were used instead of Camellia Sinensis – which is the usual tea plant.

Now if you have your teas right, you know it’s actually rather difficult to find something to replace the usual tea leaf. There’s something about Camellia Sinensis that’s just right. It doesn’t push you over the top in any way. It’s uplifting and calming and holding together in a very balanced way.

To find a replacement for such a balanced herb was no mean achievement, especially back then when tea was so much more than one choice of beverage among several others.

Ceanothus IS in fact a perfect replacement because like Camellia Sinensis, it ‘holds together’ the system. And not just in subtle ways but in very powerful direct ways.

In severe hemorrhage such as after childbirth, huge cuts with heavy bleeding, hemophilia and any other condition where the body needs urgent clot forming support, Ceanothus is a powerful medicine for first aid.

All sorts of reactions to stress or shock, where the person (or pet for that matter) experiences hemorrhage, diarhhea, or incontinence are helped immensely both for first aid and for later recovery from such episodes.

The loss of mental concentration and focus because of a shock is helped by taking Ceanothus.

Conditions that involve nervous trembling or twitching benefit from Ceanothus taken regularly as it supports building up the damaged parts of the nervous system, that were damaged due to bad recovery or lack of recovery from shock caused by sudden energy loss.

Radiation or other damage to the inner linings of the body whether in the ENT canal, the throat, the digestive lining or the bowels can be dealt with with the simple addition of a few drops of Ceanothus tincture.

To summarize it, imagine the body as a water body. Recovery from any shock to the water body, destabilizing the water and liquid movements, pooling and function, can be helped in a big way by Ceanothus.

I could go on and on writing about how Ceanothus can help every single organ in the body. It even is good for the teeth!

But I will end this post with – Ceanothus is powerful first aid for recovery from shock that has had a physical impact and physical symptoms. It is also a pain killer and helps long term recovery from the lingering effects of shock and trauma to the system.

Secrets of Regeneration – Destiny & Herbs

A bunch of cut daffodils were in a vase on a table. This was the sight that met my Granddad’s eyes as he walked into the house. After decades of not knowing where his children were, if they were even alive, of thinking he had no descendants left, he was walking into a house where his grand daughter Mary, her husband Richard, and their ten year old daughter Anna, lived.

He described to me, the flowers on the table, the pink tablecloth, the white curtains, the grey-green sofas, the russet-brown carpet, the smell of roses in the air from the garden, the books on the side table.

I was impatient. I asked him to get to when he saw them – his grand daughter and great grand daughter.

He said to me, “The clock struck twelve in the afternoon. I got up to my feet. And they came down the stairs and then in through the door. My grandchild was like the moon walking and her child holding her hand like a piece of the moon.”

He then went silent and I let him be.

After a while he said to me, “Cara, look at my finger nails.”

I did. They seemed quite normal to me.

“They used to turn black,” he said, “Now and then, when I thought it was time to die.”

I waited for him to continue. He seemed to take forever.

“My child, your destiny is a force even your body cannot defy. Destiny brings the flowers back year after year.”

“Why are you telling me this now?”

“Sometimes Destiny will take its time. You have to weather the storm till it’s time.”

“Oh no… I don’t like that phrase ‘weather the storm’.”

“Forget it then,” he waved his hand. “Learn to regenerate yourself, to come back from the ground after being cut down.”

In the years since then, I’ve given it a lot of thought. Regeneration is not just something for people at the end of their lives. It’s what makes children’s wounds heal, and makes us recover from illnesses.

It is the real problem facing modern healthcare – because even allopathic medicines depend on the body’s being able to actually recover from assault.

In a nutshell – ALL real healing is about being able to regenerate oneself.

Secrets of Regeneration

1) Let it be

In sleepy old towns on the highway, that seem to live on despite a ‘lack of interest’ from the rest of the world, is a secret of regeneration. If you just let yourself be, things will work out. Life is powerful on its own.

There’s no need to push life energy. Just let it take its own course. But when it does move….

2) Discover where your heart goes and build a chapel there.

My Granddad told me of this man. When he was three he went to a circus and saw an elephant.

He grew up in London and Liverpool and then moved across the pond to work in the US and he didn’t get to see an elephant in they ears after. At forty five, he was a busy man with a large family and lots of responsibilities. He and my Granddad were sitting in a restaurant as he explained to my Granddad a project he had in mind, something he’d been working towards for decades by then.

He said to my Granddad, “Every time I come so close to actually doing this, something or the other goes wrong. Once I fell and broke my arm. Another time I had a bad case of the hives. Just the day I had a meeting with investors I fell ill with such a terrible cold. The next day, the investors had gone and the cold had disappeared.”

Granddad asked if he had a folder with papers to do with that project on him. He said yes, he did. He carried that folder with him all the time.

He got it out and Granddad smiled.

It was an orange leather zip-up folder with an elephant embossed on it.

“You like elephants?” Granddad asked.

“Oh yes,” the man gushed almost blushing. “They’re such a magnificent animal.”

It turned out the man could speak more about elephants than even his pet project.

That summer, he and his family took a holiday just to see elephants in the wild.

I asked Granddad if the man’s project took off after that. Granddad said, “That is not our business, Cara.”

Granddad would only spend his time and energy removing blocks to the natural flow of emotion, by finding out what the person loved that they were blocking up. He wouldn’t stick around to find out what happened next because he already knew. There were people trying for decades to locate him to tell him that he’d turned their lives around.

Granddad told me that once he was in a ship’s cabin, beneath the level of the water, so, outside the porthole, he could see fish swimming about. A big orange fish noticed him and bumped its nose into the porthole in a ‘Hello’. The fish then swam next to the port hole in company with Granddad for a mile or two. That’s a lot for a fish.

Yet, Granddad said, at the end of the journey, the fish did a big somersault in front of the port hole and looked at Granddad and then did it again… a show of energy and strength.

Granddad laughed. “The fellow was telling me that he had enjoyed our time together. When you do what you love, you feel regenerated at the end and full of beans.”

Find out where your heart goes, and follow it and build a chapel there. Set up your flag there. Make it your world. Live there.

3) Herbs for Regeneration

Herbs are our natural partners in life. They and us manifest together in this world to share our lives together. It’s the first instinct of an animal in this world, on feeling any sort of discomfort or pain or facing a problem, to go looking for a herb to eat.

In a natural environment, you wouldn’t need to go very far or look up things on the internet to find a herb that helped you with your problems. It would appear right near your door, or on the path you took every day.

In today’s world though, they could very well come to you in an email newsletter (*wink) or in one of your social media feeds.

Keep on the lookout for what draws your heart as that is where your healing lies.

Over the years as I’ve experienced many herbs, I’ve zoomed in on three that are my absolute favorites for regeneration, ie. recovery from long term stress, chronic illness, tragedy – emotional or physical that derails life and such.

These herbs will wrap you and cocoon you and help you find in the rubble and shards of your consciousness, the threads of life you need to connect up once again to regenerate your body and your life.

When I tell you about them, I’m telling you about my family, my very close friends, because they’ve nursed me through, like only love can, some conditions that most others never recover from.

My favorite three herbs for regeneration are: Spikenard, Datura and Bamboo.

Spikenard or Nardostachys Jatamansi

found me when I was at zero in every way. I found the essential oil and rubbed it on my wrists after my shower in the evening one day. I sat down to meditate. And the rest is history.

Spikenard loosens the tension in the center of our bodies so energy can flow to wherever it needs to go. That’s all that’s required to change your life forever.

My article on Spikenard – Energy Releasing Deep Healer is here.

Datura or Jimsonweed

found me when I was so muddled up with so many things to do, and none of which led anywhere really. Energy short circuit was how my days and nights went.

It’s for when your vision is so garbled, it feels like you’re viewing the world through multiple lenses that are distorting everything so you don’t know what’s what and who’s who. Accordingly, your energy is all over in the place, surging sometimes, crashed other times.

Datura will simply cut the crap, turn your awareness inwards to what you really need to experience, and give expression to the parts of your sub-conscious screaming for attention.

I use Datura extracted into oil externally for all its benefits. It is my painkiller of choice for all cold-related pain and swelling.

My article on Datura – Deep Space Datura – Truth Serum, Pain Relief and Divine Justice –  has become one of the most visited pages on my website.

Bamboo

isn’t exactly any tradition of medicine’s go-to herb. But got my attention in a big way many years ago when I was taking photographs of two monkeys enjoying chewing on bamboo leaves. In the few seconds it took to focus on my camera on them and zoom in, they went from sitting down like respectable members of society to actually doing it – I mean – really DOING IT – as I clicked and clicked, still thinking bamboo in my head. I became aware of people around me staring at me and then realized it looked like I was making monkey porn.

Since then I’ve realized the amazing restorative powers of Bamboo. It can be taken powdered, infused as a tea or any other way you please.

Click here to read all about it – The Curse of the Bamboo (Video and Article).

There are other restorative regeneration experts like Houseleek or Sempervivum but we’ll keep those for another day.

All about Jing, Mojo and Shen

The Chinese herbalists classified energy as three types – Jing, Qi and Shen.

I’ve replaced Qi with Mojo as that’s what most people know it as.

Jing is the Oil.
Mojo is the Fire.
Shen is the Heat & Light.

Let me write it another way.

OIL -> FIRE -> HEAT & LIGHT
JING -> MOJO -> SHEN & FEELINGS

I know you’re really tired after all the things you did and didn’t do at Christmas so I’ll get straight to it.

JING

The ancient yogic practitioners – Indian or Chinese or whoever… they all agreed on this. That Jing is a primal energy we were born with, primal sexual energy as it were, the oil of our system. Once it gets drained the body ages quickly and dies. They all agreed on this and devoted a big part of practice to conserving sexual energy by preventing the loss of sexual fluids.

But I, could never accept that. Call me what you will, I believe that the ancient writings of nearly all cultures have been misappropriated to hijack the energy of the general population keeping people short circuited rather than liberated.

My Granddad who lived so long, you wouldn’t believe me if I told you how long, he confirmed what I suspected all along. HUMANS NEVER LOSE JING.

You read me right. YOU CANNOT LOSE YOUR JING.

Neither does it become a black blobby dense mass that causes constipation as one ‘guru’ insisted, or makes one want to have sex with animals.

Jing simply is always there, so long as you’re alive; you’d best believe me, because my Granddad proved it to himself many times over and so have I.

It’s a crippling mind disease to believe you’ve ever lost something you were born with.

If you want to heal and be healthy – you must stop believing in untruths.

But, a lot of people have told me very clearly that they have experienced a huge drain of sexual energy and some haven’t ever recovered from it. What’s happening there?

That brings us to Mojo.

MOJO

Mojo or Qi, is what we have when Jing – the oil of our being is on fire.

It’s energy we can feel, energy that moves us, that makes our organs work, our skin breathe, our cells multiply, and all those things a living body has to DO. It’s action.

Now Mojo, unlike Jing, is limited, in the sense that, there’s only so much Mojo our body will hold before shedding it off.

For example, if we’re watching a movie and we get really really really really affected and worked up and there’s nothing we can do about it really, because we aren’t really fighting Persians to defend Sparta, and the popcorn’s finished too, our Jing gets converted to Mojo and then having no place to go hangs about desperate for an outlet.

Whichever outlet you choose for that energy you’re going to feel drained.

When you work energy up for one thing, and then don’t use it for that thing, no matter how you release that energy, it’s going to feel like a drain, because the body is going to say, “But I brought that energy up to kill Xerxes of Persia, not to wash the dog because it’s Saturday or vacuum the house.”

“How the hell am I ever going to watch a movie again?” you wonder. The answer is simple. You be aware of what you’ve gotten all charged up for.

It’s never about killing Xerxes or whoever had to be killed for the movie to (finally) end. It’s about something in your life you want to do, something about that, the movie brought up. Be aware of it. It’s a sacred moment.

When you feel your heart beat increasing, when you feel worked up, find out why. And then use your energy for that.

Maybe you feel a sense of injustice about something, maybe you feel helpless and want to do something about it, maybe you miss something you used to do before. Whatever it is, it got triggered and now you have to do something about it.

It might mess up your schedule initially but you’ll find that everything becomes so much easier and you have more energy for whatever you want and need to do.

This is something you have to make a part of your life in the long term.

This is how you conserve energy. This is how you circulate your energy for your ACTUAL needs, rather than what your mind or someone else thinks you need.

It’s keeping it real for your body.

SHEN

I really like that word. Apparently it translates to ‘Spirit’. It’s basically the vibration – the heat given off by Mojo or Qi doing its work in the body.

A healthy body that’s been doing all its functions right is warm with Shen.

Now, ‘warmth’, ‘heat’, ‘light’ – in reality all these mean FEELING.

Just as when you light a scented candle and the heat melts the wax releasing the fragrances in the wax into the air, so heat and warmth release FEELING that’s in our cells. Yes, feeling is in every cell of us and not just in our heart area or wherever. Spirit is Feeling.

A person that isn’t ‘feeling’ is in depression. Depression is the lack of Shen.

Traditionally people would wonder why a healthy person would ever be depressed.

It happens when Shen is drained.

How is Shen drained? In fact how can the heat and light from a fire be ‘taken away’ from it while it’s still burning?

It’s an illusion. A deception if you will.

Do you remember that nursery rhyme?

I’m a little teapot
Short and stout
Here is my handle
Here is my spout
When I get all steamed up
Hear me shout
Just tip me over and pour me out!

Now imagine you’re a tea pot.

You’ve got water boiling hot inside you and your top has been taken off, you can feel the steam rising up and out in all directions.

Now imagine you turn to your side and look at a mirror on a wall. In the mirror, you see the table, the chairs around it, the table cloth, the vase with flowers the cups all around. And there you are, a tea pot with boiling water.

You’re burning hot and the steam’s escaping. It’s the big thing happening right now.

But in the mirror, none of that shows.

And suddenly even though you’re burning, you don’t believe you’re giving off steam. Because you cannot see it in the mirror. And no one’s talking about it either. Suddenly you feel cold, drained, lost and confused.

That’s what gives the illusion of Shen or our ‘glow’ being lost.

It’s when we have a vision of ourselves limited to the physical aspects of us, but not what our lives are really about – our feelings and the feeling-emanation of all our living energy exercise.

This is why it often happens that some beautiful people cannot see their own glow, but others can. They feel drained and lost, while to others they’re an inspiration.

The key to never getting deceived about your Shen, is to learn to FEEL your own being, rather than look in mirror at your self or be dependent on the viewpoints of others about your self to develop your self image.

When you feel your own self your vision doesn’t get hogged by your physical being – how fat or thin you are, the shape of your body and so on. Your vision of yourself is more balanced and more importantly, you feel the feelings your body is carrying, that form of energy called Shen.

As a start on the journey to re-feeling your self, physical exercises that kick start your physical senses are a big help. Walking in complete darkness, or with your eyes closed, walking backward, or simply closing your eyes and feeling your heart beat ( a most powerful wonderful exercises), feeling your blood pulsing through your body, all these help.

As you develop your own rightful INNER vision of your being and learn to hold it in the face of the onslaught of those on the outside that might try and impose their vision of you on you, you nurture your Shen and develop strength and health.

The best part of all of this is,

that when your Shen is going strong, ie. your feelings are all glowing, that’s what converts Jing (the oil) to Mojo (the fire) and those who thought their Jing was all finished will find that it’s still right there.

Jing isn’t actually oil you see. It’s life energy, which by virtue of being life itself, never dies.

To sum it all up:

You can’t lose your Jing.
Use your Mojo for what it got worked up for.
Develop your own vision of yourself, instead of depending on mirrors or what others impose on you.

Two things to do to Stop Losing Energy

In the middle of the night I woke up perspiring (remember – boys sweat, girls perspire) and I found my heart beating really really fast.

Having had two close brushes with heart attacks, I learned very quick that prevention is the best cure.

How does a nineteen year old end up having heart attacks?

That much adrenal abuse.

Can someone who doesn’t drink or smoke or take drugs be over-adrenalized?

Yes. A state of general panic – such as the mainstream media is religiously devoted to fostering, can affect the body just as bad as drugs that raise heart rate, or poisons that make the immune system hyper-activated.

Now, obviously the solution is to Calm The F*** Down as several cats and other pets have recently advised on the internet, no doubt based on sound personal experience.

But as our species seems to have a problem doing that, I would like to share with you two things that have helped me immensely.

Two things to do to Calm Down and end energy loss

1) Stop converting energy.
2) Herbs for recovery from adrenal abuse.

The second one, you get. Please click on the link to read all about it in detail. Those herbs are available anywhere. They can change your life. Trust me on that – I’ve been rescued by them. If you’re prone to over-adrenalization, you need a little dropper bottle in your pocket or bag always. Every time you feel you’re getting too worked up, take a few drops. You have no idea how much that can help until you try it.

And now for the first.

Stop Converting Energy

According to the laws of physics, a body never has a change in the amount of energy it has. You check it out on the internet – The Law of Conservation of Energy.

The law of conservation of energy states that the total energy of an isolated system remains constant; it is said to be conserved over time. This law means that energy can neither be created nor destroyed; rather, it can only be transformed or transferred from one form to another.

Now, if the energy in a body stays the same, why do we feel a lack of energy?

I asked my (very cool and now famous) Granddad that question and he said to me, “Stop converting.

When energy converts from our stored energy in the deep gut, it goes off in that direction and takes forever to come back to a state where it can be converted again to another sort we require.

It’s like money. Once you invest in your career by buying a lot of clothes to wear to meetings, it’s going to be a while, months or years, before that money comes back as money you can use for something else.

So if we keep converting huge amounts of energy from our store, we feel depleted when we need energy for something else.

Therefore, stop converting.

How does that work? I asked Granddad.

The venerable gentleman went silent for a while and then said, “What’s your No. 1 energy drain?”

I thought a bit and said, “Getting emotionally worked up reading things or seeing things.”

“No,” he said. “No, no no.

Your No. 1 energy drain will always be sexual.”

I was shocked. Me? No sexy male for thousands of miles around. It’s true. Though that never stopped me from having an err… “inner” sex life.

Granddad continued.

“Sexual energy conversion accounts for the bulk of energy conversion. We needn’t talk about the others – they fall into place.”

Me – Oh!

Grandad – There are two kinds of sex. Happy sex and sad sex.

Me – Oh!

Granddad – Happy sex is when the body and spirit both enjoy love. Sad sex is when the body goes in and the spirit waits outside listening to the sounds – Ahhh and Ooooo and Oh my God! – but isn’t invited to the party.

Cara, have you ever felt left out? Of the party? Of the fun?

Me – Yes.

Granddad – Do you want to do that to your spirit?

Me – No.

Granddad – Well that’s what sad sex is. Leaving your heart and soul and spirit outside.

After a very long time feeling overwhelmed by what he’d said, I asked:

How do you make sure your spirit and body are together?

Granddad shrugged like I’d asked which letter comes after A. I used to feel really confident every time he shrugged like that. It meant he’d achieved what he was going to tell me about, and it wasn’t impossible at all.

He said, “Do you remember anything from the book of Song of Songs in the Bible?”

“Yes,” I said, “Of course.” I had memorized that book as a teenager – loved it.

“Then tell me the strangest thing you read in that book,” Granddad said like he knew me so well.

“Do not awaken love until it so desires,” I replied, “That was something I never understood and it was repeated over and over.

“That’s your answer,” Granddad said turning over in his chair looking a little animated compared to before, “See sometimes the answer comes first and the question later.”

I sighed then like I sigh now.

“Do not awaken love until it so desires?”

Granddad realized he’d have to explain it and sank back into the chair. “Love is sexual energy, which is life energy. Don’t awaken it, don’t try to make it wake up, don’t provoke it, don’t prod it, don’t push it, don’t pull it, don’t do anything to it. Just let it do as it pleases.”

I get the same dull head spin now as I did then. “What?”

“Some years from now,” Granddad sighed, “You’ll understand it. For now, just remember what I said.”

That time has come now, almost ten years later.

And it’s all about trust.

You simply don’t push yourself. You watch yourself. You do as your body leads you to do.

You don’t rush rush rush, from one thing to the next. You stop and you feel yourself. You ask yourself, “What does my gut want me to do right now?” And you do that.

You trust your spirit to convert energy. You have to trust your self.

You cannot force a flower to bloom. You have to let it unfold at its pace.

Now I could give you a whole list of things to do to stop being energy drained, but I’m telling you the one true thing I know that will could your life forever.

Start trusting your spirit to manage your energy, don’t mentally impose on your body and your life. Go easy. You’re a living being with spirit, not a robot.

And never try or force your self to get sexually turned on. If you are, you are, don’t block it. If you aren’t, you aren’t, don’t force it.

I know this comes late in this article but it’s so important, don’t forget it.

It’ll take a while to change, and it might not be easy, but it will be worth it. You’ll have your life back.

In a few years some of you will be emailing me telling me I changed your life.

And now,

KEEP CALM and look at this tree that was cut down putting out new leaves.

Herbs for recovery from adrenal abuse.

Sincerely,

Caraf Avnayt

Yeast will tell you the time. (eBook – The Spirit of Yeast)

“Yeast will tell you the time,” my Granddad John Waltham said to me.

He started me off a journey that hasn’t ended, a journey into understanding the magic of my own body, host to millions of these little living beings with their own spirit, choice and memory, affecting my health, my moods, my smell, my Life.

An female emanation of our Mother Earth, Yeast manages the times of our life, like the moon calls the tides.

The wrong Yeast was what the Israelites had to put aside in Egypt so they could change from slaves into conquerors. The right Yeast on a bunch of grapes told them they’d come home.

A lot has been written about the physical properties of Yeast. Good yeast is required for healthy digestion, the foundation of health in the body as we depend on receiving nutrients from food and drink. Yeast imbalance however, Candida for example is a major cause of systemic imbalance and ill effects that go far beyond any one particular disease’s name.

A quick internet search on the subject will show you just how important it is that Yeast stay balanced in our bodies.

This book will not attempt to show how with some simple changes in how we treat Yeast, we can radically change our health, metabolism and life experience for the better.

In this book:
Yeast is Consciousness
Yeast as Time-Keeper
Bad Yeasts and Diabetes
The Illness Consciousness
The Passover Story: Leaving the Slave Consciousness Behind
Enforcing a Change of Consciousness to Sustain Healing
Yeast carries memory and habit.
Yeast and Fertility
How to listen to Yeast

Positive and Negative Polarity – Holistic Recovery with Herbs from Radiotherapy and Radiation Damage

A time comes to every person who takes herbs and natural healing when they have to stop depending on herbs and cross over to being independently healthy again. Very few ever cross that line, and their body ends up developing resistance to the very herbs that are their medicine of choice.

Herbs to stimulate healing, detoxification and so on, are of the positive polarity, or solar, heating, pushing, moving. They include all those processes that are outgoing and heat generating and expanding and energy releasing. Cell growth, cell reproduction, regeneration of damaged tissue, they’re all positive or solar processes.

There are herbs that support the negative polarity or the lunar processes of the body, cooling, contracting and energy retaining.

These have to be taken at just the right time, to help bring the body into balance, into neutral, and then lessened to a point where you don’t need anything but your food and your water to keep healthy.

Just as the heart sends out blood to the entire body, so the heart receives blood from the entire body. It’s something that is happening in every part of us all the time.

Radiation is everywhere in our modern lifestyles, even if you don’t actually go through a radiotherapy session. It is experienced in mild ways across Australia, where I was told by a man who installed cable antennas, you won’t be covered by insurance for skin cancer if you don’t wear a hat when working outdoors. Radiation is delivered by microwaves, is in food that is irradiated to prevent it from spoiling, is generated by mobile phones, and any other number of radiation delivery devices.

Now radiation, simply over-stimulates the cells into the positive polarity causing the cell to release its stored energy, with which it was supposed to live long and reproduce into other cells before it died. When it suddenly releases all its stored energy, it burns out and dies, or goes weak.

This kills cells by making them overwork and get over-heated and, just like food gets heated up and if longer, burned, in the microwave.

This is one reason, radiotherapy is part of current medical treatment of cancer. Technically speaking, it should kill off just the bad boy cells and let the good boy cells be. In practical experience however, that is almost never what happens. Usually the good boys and girls end up weak and susceptible now to even more problems, and those far more widespread than before.

One reason herbal medicine for recovery from radiotherapy works so well is because herbs with high levels of natural energy (note: not all herbs are made alike) quickly supply the body with vital energy so the good boys and girls can keep going until they start functioning again and get back to collecting up energy for their life functions.

But this is where the bridge is. Ask anyone into natural living and they’ll tell you that a time comes when the herbs don’t ‘work’ like they did before.

The body balances out everything, even herbs. After a certain crisis has been crossed, the body will start treating the same herb it treated like gold during the crisis, now like any other food, passing out most of it. The body thinks, “I’m getting so much of it regularly, no point storing it around, let’s store the rarer stuff, this one’s always available.”

So that’s what’s happening on this side of the bridge. You can cross over the bridge now, to the other side, where the cells are all making their own energy like before, where the body is well like before, through one simple thing – energy balancing your cells, so they’re no longer in the state the radiation put them in – which was over-stimulated.

The herbs which help the body recover from over-stimulated, support the negative polarity in the body, or the ‘lunar’ processes.

These herbs don’t work aggressively, their whole benefit is that they are NOT aggressive. Many of these herbs have little white or yellow flowers, and grow as weeds. Most of them make you thirsty – think lunar, think moon, think water – because they help detoxify the body through the water networks of the body.

A few of the Negative Polarity or Lunar herbs that come to mind right now are:

Gelsemium or Yellow Jasmine will bring down a fever, calm an over-heated brain in summer, stop a new mother’s hemorrhage.

The lacy Elderflower (Sambucus) will strengthen the nerve endings of the lungs and other organs as well slowly but surely after a violent epileptic, or asthmatic attack, healing damage caused by spasms and cellular over heating.

Rauwolfia Serpentina or Snakeroot with it’s little white flowers calms an over-heated brain in deep ways, supporting better sleep quality and recovery from the damage caused by mental and emotional stress to the brain and nervous system.

Lily of the Valley or Convallaria – another intoxicating addictive beautiful white flower – you definitely ought not to have too much of it, but in tiny medicinal proportions it releases tension from the nerves around the heart, and the uterus. For recovery from a traumatic shock, it does wonders.

Then there’s the crazy amazing Datura or Moonflower not so tiny, but definitely a lunar flower. This one works by heating the system so much, the system fights back cooling itself and demanding water, lots of it. The nerves cramp tight, really tight and then release. Again, only tiny doses, and it’s better applied externally unless you want a psychedelic trip into the moony roots of you.

Bamboo amazingly supports the negative polarity processes of the body and can make a sudden change for the better when combined with any other natural healing because it supports the body in moving energy around.

Whenever you see a little white flower, know that it supports the negative polarity and the lunar parts of the body.

Our lives are so full of over-stimulation and the residual effects of it, that we couldn’t really have too much of the lunar flowers for a long time to come.

Do remember however that the point of all this is to become energy balanced and when all is said and done, we have to keep energy moving. Energy = Feelings. So keeping our feelings moving through us, through the body is essential, that final last step to becoming self sufficient again.
