Herbs to Strengthen the Heart, Build Emotional Resilience

When you strengthen the heart, you strengthen every part of you and find relief from problems that were not responding before.

To strengthen a weak or tired heart, on every level, herbs can help. They’re living beings like us. They open our sub-conscious tunnels and caves and cupboards, awaken deep things in us and help us see and hear what we need to to find our way.

When the physical heart is weak or unstable, it is a clarion call from our consciousness to repair ourselves from deep deep within.

Borage for disappointment with no silver linings
Cactus for nervous instability, recovery from shock
Damiana for uterine, sexual and reproductive system blocks
Violet for lymphatic sluggishness
Milk Thistle for congestion in the body such as after a large meal
Dandelion for tightness around the diaphragm, solar plexus
Mistletoe for when you’re too cold or too hot
Rose Petals and Rosehips to release blocked up energy

Borage for disappointment with no silver linings

Imagine a flower wilting in harsh dry weather. Do you feel like that emotionally and physically? Do you feel overwhelmed by all you have to do and like you would like to give up the fight? Borage is the plant that will pull the focus of your consciousness down to simpler things, to the center of your body where the complications that confuse our heads don’t matter that much, and where what we need to do in the moment is clear. This clarity is relaxing and strengthening for the heart.

Physically the heart rate normalizes and the production of stress hormones in the blood begins to reduce.

When you have Borage, after about thirty minutes, flush your system with water, to get the stress hormones out.

Cactus for nervous instability, recovery from shock

Do you feel like you’re standing on the roof of a shaking building? Or like you’re being pulled and jerked about in different directions? Like one part of you is in one place and another in quite the opposite direction? Like your heart is being torn wanting opposite things at the same time and with equal desperation?

Desperation is the keyword here. We feel emotional desperation when we are torn in different directions and cannot seem to find harmony.

A physical heart in the throes of such feeling has an unstable heart rate, flutterings, fibrillation and does not pass the blood through the chambers smoothly. Overall, the heart is weaker as a result and the entire body suffers the effects of this instability.

Cactus helps us find emotional and physical energetic balance. As a result, the heart is able to gather its energy up rather than have it splayed and splashed in different directions. This heals the physical heart, calms the nervous system and therefore the entire body.

It relieves the troubled emotions by consolidating them so we can face what it is that is really troubling us instead of being distracted by a million little things that would resolve on their own if we would just look at what really is the matter.

Damiana for uterine, sexual and reproductive system blocks

Do you feel like you cannot feel the sweetness of life anymore? Like you cannot even feel your own self anymore?

When a person rejects their own sexual being sub-consciously, the reproductive organs go static, something like playing statue in front while struggling to keep functioning at the back because it’s necessary to keep living.

Now, our sexual being is our primal being. And believe it or not, our heart is the center of our sexual energy.

When the organs of the reproductive system go energy static or tense, the heart feels it immediately and reacts by going into a sort of freeze, waiting for the situation to resolve. Blood circulation slows, hormonal release reduces to a trickle, slowly, life itself comes to a freeze.

An obvious symptom of this condition is not feeling turned on sexually or otherwise as much as usual, as much as you need to feel fully alive.

If you feel frozen, numb, static, stuck, Damiana will help relax the organs of the reproductive system which hold and express our primal being, and this in return releases the heart’s static, allowing it to beat fully and get blood moving around the system.

Several acute cases of circulation inefficiency have been relieved by Damiana where the usual circulation support herbs failed to make much of a difference.

On a physical level, if the heart does not beat FULLY, seems like it stops or is constricted and the chest in general feels constricted, Damiana is the herb.

Violet for lymphatic sluggishness

Do you feel like there are blank spaces in you that noting gets through? Like you keep hitting a wall and all the momentum you had is suddenly gone and you don’t know why?

When we have ‘numb’ zones in our consciousness, it manifests in areas of our body’s lymphatic system becoming sluggish. Our lymphatic system is simply the places between our bodies, the drainage areas. Sluggishness here makes the whole body feel weighed down, slow, heavy, inflexible, numb.

On an emotional level we feel like we have too much baggage and not enough strength to really let go or what we know deep down, we have to let go of, to be free and light enough to move on.

Heaviness, is the key word here. Too heavy? Get Violet to help.

The physical heart feels strengthened by the Violet’s ability to make the consciousness rest. This sort of rest means, the relaxation of all that which is holding in what should be let go of. Tiny little nerve endings relax. The whole body on a deep deep level feels able to let go.

Everything feels a lot easier. Movement itself becomes easier.

When you take Violet, you will feel like moving more than usual. It doesn’t have to be about exercise. You have things to do, and you will feel like doing them. You might even feel frenetic. Just do whatever you feel like doing from your heart.

Fenugreek seed tea, Quis Qualis Indica and other herbs for lymphatic cleansing will help clear out what’s now ready to be cleared out.

Milk Thistle for congestion in the body such as after a large meal

Do you feel morose and morbid? And pessimistic and dark? And cynical and pissed off about everything? Milk Thistle will comfort you.

When a person’s most simplest desires, like the simple primal desire of a baby for his or her mother’s milk, has been denied and this pattern plays out again and again in life, the person often becomes the perpetrator of this disappointment, denying themselves their primal and little desires, finding logic and rationality to deny themselves pleasure.

This makes the body confused in its management of fat, oils and other substances which nourish us. The body begins to throw out what we need, keep what we don’t need and then when the mess has gone beyond the scope of a one day clean up job, the garbage just tends to start piling up all over wherever.

Milk Thistle’s message on an emotional and on a physical level is “I can be happy and satisfied again, like I was at my mother’s breast.”

Physically, instead of rejecting nutrition or not knowing what to do with it, the body begins to work with it. That which was stored up out of confusion is now slowly thrown out.

No, it is not a quick process, but it works.

The heart that physically was strained, pushing and pushing and then lapsing into fatigue, the condition called ‘cardio myopathy’ is relieved by the change brought about by Milk Thistle – or Silybum Mariana or Carduus Mariana.

Emotionally we stop being a struggler, straining for love, and begin instead to allow ourselves to experience the simple pleasures of life. This changes everything.

Dandelion for tightness around the diaphragm, solar plexus

Do you feel like the world’s problems are your problems? Do you feel the weight of responsibility beyond your capacity to carry? Do you feel alone in carrying your burden?

Dandelion is the herb to help.

When you feel burdened, it’s most often because you feel like you have lost some form of support or strength you counted on, without which you feel lost and bereft.

Loss is the keyword here. A deep sense of loss, perhaps from long ago, maybe even from early childhood, makes the consciousness and the body feel like a loser. The perception that we don’t have the support we need to make it through life pervades, making the body under function.

Little puppies separated from their mothers, the young student in a new city, the newly weds who find themselves no longer as much part of their old family or community, anyone who feels isolated from support, could use Dandelion’s help.

Dandelion looks up to the sky, and believes in God. “Someone made me. The force which made me, will sustain me.”

It’s that simple.

The physical heart which was struggling to function, it’s beat becoming more and more feeble, then making a bid for normalcy before sinking again, now begins to beat calmly and without the struggle.

Mistletoe for when you’re too cold or too hot

Do you feel uncomfortable, like the sheets are too warm close to you, but too cold on the other side? Like the grass is greener on the other side, but you know if you go over there, you’ll only want to come back here?

This weird feeling of wanting something, a LOT, but not enough to making you actually go towards it, is helped by Mistletoe.

A consciousness that is in a state of self denial because of having a split opinion or because of desiring what seems like two opposite things, and therefore being unable to move in either direction, is usually in that situation because of unresolved emotional pain.

Unresolved pain messes with our perception on many levels making us unable to look at what we really want in life. To compensate for this lack of emotional perception, we develop a personality and a life based on logic, on the advice of others, on books that tell us what to do, when to do it, how to do it.

A most simple form of healing is to let go of all the learning in the head, and do what we feel like doing.

Releasing rigid mental control and assessment of our life energy, of our lives, allows the body and the consciousness to find its own balance and resolve old emotional pain.

Mistletoe lives like that… simply. “I’m here, you’re here, hello.

The physical heart, which is also the center of the hormonal system, stops going into frenzies and panic followed by the general debility and slump that comes after being so worked up. Adrenal exhaustion lessens and the body slowly becomes stable and functional again.

Rose Petals and Rosehips to release blocked up energy

Suppressed anger, repressed rage, but unable to come out to the surface. “How can I ever be angry enough?” is the feeling here, “I might as well seethe or simmer or just forget about it for now. What can I do about it anyway?”

We are taught in so many ways through life, that the ‘use’ of an emotion is to make some action happen. If you fall in love, you must kiss, you must have sex. If you like drawing, you must become an artist. If you like dancing, you must go to dance lessons. If you like cooking, you should open a restaurant.

It’s good to use our talents, but this attitude when taken too far, makes a person begin to feel impotent and incapacitated over time. Like the limbs are tied up.

Good things become a pain.. who wants to hear the whole ‘you draw so well, you should develop this talent’ rhetoric all over again even if it’s only in your own head?

The Rose is about feeling what we’re feeling without stopping it because we cannot see where it’s going. It’s about freedom to feel, without judgment. This is the basis of courage and bravery.

The warrior is not the one who yells on the battlefield and charges at the energy. He is the one who allows his feelings, his love, his anger, his desire, to shape his life and his destiny. Before the battle, he knows he has won, because his feelings have brought him to this moment, because he walked the path his every day feelings led him on, and just how he wakes and sleeps moved by those feelings, so he will know how to fight the battle.

The heart is FED by feelings. A physical heart that is weak and insufficient, tired and hopeless, jaded, and which turns away from sunshine and hope, benefits from the fearless Rose – whether the petals or the fruit.

———————————

There is another aspect to strengthening the heart, resolving identity crises. Hawthorn, Oleander, Nettle are some of the herbs which help, but there is so much to say there, so we will talk about how they work another time.

Holistic Rejuvenation of Heart, Blood and Bone Marrow Function

One of the body’s most common responses to hidden or suppressed trauma is a steady decline in the quality of blood cells being made.

This is why people ‘age’ suddenly when they have a tragedy or loss that ‘takes the life’ out of them.

This situation can also be caused by actual loss of physical blood, starvation and deprivation over a long period of time (especially in the case of women) and various emotional situations.

The most common cause however is the person doesn’t WANT to live anymore if that’s the way life is. A fall in blood quality and quantity is very simply the life energy withdrawing and the body and psyche being in a state of waiting for something to make the person want to live again.

Nearly every person I’ve ever made medicine for who has had the combination of anemia, fatigue, lessened hair quality or hair loss, lessened bone strength, has been able to remember an event or string of events through which they lost their zest for life.

Not in every case, but often enough, for me to mention it here, this combination of symptoms comes with the person clinging to an illusion or delusion about something. Denial of a painful truth. It takes so much energy to hold up the burden of this big illusion, the poor person is just drained of energy and finds no energy left to do anything else.

Now every soul knows what they have to do for life to be acceptable again, to be free of energy heaviness.

But this often hides behind the noise of our conscious mind with our thoughts and worries loud all day and even all night long.

To reach the point where we can hear what our heart wants us to hear, there are many ways. Some walk, some run, some sleep. The thing to remember is, if you’re not getting there through your normal routine, you have to do something you’re not doing yet.

Awareness is Resolution – Feeling your Heartbeat

I have seen amazing healing happen through the power of awareness. Remember that the whole point of illness is to call our attention and awareness to a particular area of the body.

However painful, get brave and become aware of the weak zones. Energy flows where awareness goes.

In the case of weak blood making, the areas we have to give attention to are the bone marrow and the heart.

On a vibration and frequency level, they are the same, they get each other. They work together with blood connecting them, like two ends of an electric circuit. If the bone marrow feels something, the heart feels it and reacts and vice versa.

So here is a simple exercise to bring awareness to both of them. It is simple and you can do it anywhere, any time, once you’ve gotten used to it.

1) Breathe, relax and feel your heart beat. Put your hand on your heart and feel your heart beat if it’s the first time you’re doing this. When you have picked up your heart beat, then let your hand fall and continue to feel your heart beat from inside.

2) Feel the vibration of the heart beat in your liver, just beneath your chest on your right side, and on the left side, your spleen. Both of these play a big role in maintaining blood in the body.

3) Become aware of the report or echo of the heart beat coming from the bones, the center of the bones to be precise.
You can choose one particular bone or area, like the hands or the feet, or the skull, or you can feel a ‘surround report’, like when a gun goes off in the center of the valley and standing right there you get an echo from all sides.

Know that it is not mental awareness that’s the aim here but holistic awareness which is also physical and very importantly emotional.

The cells of our heart, of our bones, they have memory, they have feelings, they have hopes and wishes. When you become aware of them, you might become aware of deep disappointment, loneliness, pain, shock, grief that you didn’t know you had. These might be irrational, they might be from some situation you thought you left behind a long time ago.

Just give your feelings respect. And make time every day perhaps even many times a day to become aware of your heart and the report of your heart beat from the bone marrow.

Herbs to support Blood Function

There are three colors in the blood.

Hibiscus, Rosehips, Rhododendron, Cactus, Nettle, Strawberries; these all help the red part of the blood.
Herbal Treatments for Heart, Blood & Circulation

Milk thistle, Dandelion, Wheatgrass; these help the yellow part of the blood, the liver that is. Bitter herbs usually support the liver.
Herbal Treatments for Liver Support

Mistletoe, Violet, Echinacea, Fenugreek; these help the white part of the blood, spleen and lymphatic function that is. The spleen is stimulated by sweet things. Refined white sugar is bad for you, but there are so many other ways to have sweet in your life.

A little sweet, a little bitter.

You will find your self drawn to some or all of these, or other herbs. Have those as teas or as tinctures, or get me or someone who knows what they’re doing to make you a blend of extracts.

When you take herbal medicine for a condition, twice or thrice a day, not only are you providing your body the tiny amounts of particular nutrition it needs to heal from a situation, you’re also speaking to your own self in an ancient primal language that both your body and the more subtle parts of you, like your sub-conscious understands. It is all round, a powerful method of healing.

Hormones don’t make Feelings. Feelings make Hormones.

The Heart triggers off hormone production in the body. It’s the truth we’re not told because it would end the pharma industry that sells artificial and second hand hormones and hormone triggers.

If you’re serious about natural hormonal balance, the way is through the heart.

Here are 5 things about Hormones and the Heart you need to know:

1. Hormones don’t make feelings. Feelings make hormones.
2. The Heart frequency is the Earth frequency, is the Reality frequency.
3. Hormones produced by the Heart trigger off hormone production in the body. Make your own home food.
4) Your Body is your Heart. An exercise to release pain.
5) Steer clear of a pseudo heart frequency.

1. Hormones don’t make feelings. Feelings make hormones, and hormones make the body respond to those emotions with certain reactions.

A disruption in the translation from feelings to hormones causes depression. The person feels things but cannot translate them into mental realization and physical response which is the completion of the cycle.

The most common reason for this disruption is emotional suppression. If you don’t let yourself feel what you’re feeling, you’ll not allow the cycle of hormones to go fully through you.

2. The Heart frequency is the Earth frequency, is the Reality frequency

H E A R T  is an anagram of  E A R T H.

The Hearth was what the place near the fire in the center of a house used to be called, where the warmth went from to every corner, where the food was cooked.

Heart is Hearth of your Body.

The scientists have it that there’s a difference in the frequency between the heart and the earth, but in truth and in functional reality, the frequency of the heart is the frequency of the earth, and therefore the frequency of reality here.

You are not doing yourself a service of any sort when you suppress or evade the frequency of your heart in which you feel emotional. In fact to move out of that zone of feeling, is to move out of the zone where healing, intuition, instinct, life energy feed you.

If you want to deal with a situation, the first step to it is facing the reality of it. You cannot solve a problem until you actually see what it is. You cannot fight a battle if you don’t look at the battlefield, at your enemies, who is with you, who is for you, who is against you.

You need reality, and that reality cannot be assessed with the head and the sense organs. The world famous ‘sixth sense’ is just the Heart, is emotion.

When I was a teenager I was very enamored by the whole ‘open your third eye’ movement. Overnight I became a sort of minor celebrity and was called ‘psychic’. I was invited all over the place to peoples’ houses and people would come to my place all hours of day and night to get me to go to their house, or a sick person or help them choose a location for their house and so on.

Then I found the expectations were unfair to me and the situation became very abusive for me, because the truth is, I could only know stuff about those I care about, not those I don’t care truly about. And to be honest, I don’t care for just anyone. I’m just not Mother Teresa. I cannot control who I care about and who I don’t care about, it doesn’t go by logic at all, it’s something beyond the mind and rationality.

All humans, animals, plants, all living beings are ‘psychic’ when they love and care deeply about something. Some people love and care a little more than others, and maybe therefore are a little more perceptive but that’s how it is.

But that frequency, the frequency of the heart is what you need for your own life, for your safety, as your guide in the maze in of life.

Trauma and pain can make us temporarily move out of the heart frequency, but it really ought to be very very temporary, or we will stay out of reality frequency and make life moves based on lies and non-reality, that will keep us stalled.

And the hormones released by the heart will become poison in the body as they do not get processed the right and natural way.

3. Hormones produced by the Heart trigger off hormone production in the body.

Besides the fact that the vibrations of the heart trigger off hormone triggers in the brain – for example falling in love or meeting a loved one triggers off the release of pleasure hormones in the body; besides that sort of thing, that the heart itself directly produces hormones has been known for a long while.

All kinds of problems start as a result of the hormones of the heart not flowing out.

In fact, whether modern science acknowledges or not, and some groups do, the hormones released by the heart directly chemically play a role in the hormonal environment of the body. Important functions like growth and development – which means the development of sexual and reproductive mechanisms, brain health and so on, are triggered by and affected by hormones from the heart.

As a tiny little example – here are two research papers that talk about the affect of the hormones produced by the heart – ANF, ANP and BNP (don’t worry about the long forms) on growth, immune system management, inflammatory response.
The endocrine function of the heart
The endocrine heart and inflammation

That is just the very tip of the iceberg. If all that scientists knew about the heart were published, it would cause the overturn and the end of the modern pharma industry that is based on providing the body with substances it can produce itself, if triggered by the HEART.

But the heart with its primal sensory system called FEELINGS isn’t about to get any promotion from anyone out only to make money, as feelings and the heart are not something you can switch on and off, or put into pills, even though they keep trying century after century to do just that.

Your own heart’s feelings are your home food hormones for healing and hormonal balance.

It’s like home food. Any real doctor advises his patients, if they want to truly recover and be healthy, to eat home food, ie. food cooked at home. There’s the emotional aspect of it that nothing else can replace.

If someone makes ‘home food’, the second they package it and sell it, it stops being ‘home food’ anymore. ‘Made in A Home’ maybe, but it’s not YOUR home food.

So feelings cannot be packed, they must be made at home, by your heart in your body, for your healing.

4) A great heart said to me – Your Body is your Heart.

In fact it is literally true. While our physical heart is the motor, in truth every cell of us is part of that central Heart and every bit of us is filled with emotion.

To love and heal ourselves, we need to honor and accept the emotions of our body.

An exercise that helps release pain anywhere in the body is to just feel the center of pain in the body and count back from 10 to 1, each time going deeper and deeper into where the exact point of pain is. At 1, you speak out without thinking, what you are feeling there. If you can’t articulate it, just feel it fearlessly. You’ll slip out in the beginning, but keep coming back and going deeper and deeper to the center of the pain and facing it.

Often it will be an irrational fear, or something from a situation long gone, but it is valuable and that’s why it’s calling your attention.

The exercise done over time breaks the habit of running away from or suppressing a problem or a pain, instead of fearlessly facing it.

Try it and see how powerful it is.

5) Steer clear of a pseudo heart frequency.

Very often, people will develop a sort of emotional energy system that’s emotional indeed, but not connected to true feeling in the moment.

It could be based in a situation that’s long gone into the past, or some particular set of feelings they’re OK with feeling, maybe because those are socially accepted, or feelings that match those around them, or directly to deceive others.

When emotional outbursts drain energy, you know that there’s a pseudo heart frequency in operation, there’s something not quite real about it and it cannot help you in any way if it isn’t real.

Real emotional release is uplifting and clarifying even when painful, especially when painful.

Learn to tell the difference and let go of that which drains rather than clarifies and the pseudo emotional body will wither away.

Nervous & Emotional Healing with Cardio-Restorative Herbs

I’m a veteran of heart problems having had cardiac insufficiency due to trauma since the age of 8 and actually had two cardiac arrests at the age of 19. I was told then that there was no chance of a normal life ahead for me. They said I’d live only with the help of drugs to keep my heart beating regularly enough, and things like having a baby would be at the risk of death, unlikely anyway as I wouldn’t be able to cope with the increased heart rate that’s part of sex.

My Great-Great Grandad John Waltham didn’t even hear me out when I started telling him all that. He put me on the path to healing my heart and in the process over the years I used what I’d learned to help others – people and animals.

I’ve learned that if someone has a problem with their emotions – whether their heart is broken by a tragedy or a loss, or whether they experience un-explainable sorrow, or whether they feel emotionless and blocked up – a common experience for those with depression, all these can be helped in big ways with herbs that have traditionally been used to support and heal the physical heart.

Of course, just as there’s no point filling up your car’s tank with fuel if you don’t actually turn it on and go somewhere, so there’s no point taking herbs for healing, if you don’t use that support to find out what’s troubling you emotionally and face it. I wish they’d taught us that skill in school or at home growing up – it would’ve saved so many such pain.

But coming back to the herbs. The following are some of my most favorite herbs that not only heal the heart, but help the nervous system frequency get back to normal and help the person emotionally.

St. Ignatius Bean – Strychnos ignatii

or Ignatia is considered first aid because it sort of shocks the heart and the nervous system (taken in a tiny dose of course). The resulting effect has been called similar to Prozac.

What it does is deliver a tiny shock that stimulates the body into reacting to the shock with natural calming and soothing processes.

Now if someone had actually shocked our physically heart, the body would respond to that with all our natural healing processes starting up.

But the need for botanicals like Ignatia arise when the ‘hit’ or the ‘shock’ is an emotional one, and we suppress that from our awareness for whatever reason. In that case, for a long while the tissues of our body hold the tension, the nerves around the tissues stay magnetized in a particular high-tension frequency waiting for relaxation and release.

If that does not happen in a timely fashion, the tension everywhere gets conveyed to the heart through the blood and the heart – a healthy one at least does try to make the person aware that something’s wrong.

The feeling of tightness in the chest, the feeling of the heart fluttering, the feeling of the heart beating faster, all these are not just things for people with heart problems, they are the every day experience of humans of all ages everywhere. They are part of our inbuilt life experience, to help us make sense of what’s happening with us, to show us the paths to take in life.

And they have powerful effects on the rest of our body as well.

But all that is numbed down if we have an attitude of emotional suppression.

And that’s when we need plants like St. Ignatius Bean, that TELL the heart, “You, Yes You”. And then deliver a much required SLAP.

It won’t replace actual emotional awareness, but it does make the body react bringing relief to the entire system at least in the moment.

Lily of the Valley – Convallaria

Lily of the Valley causes a sort of spasm in the muscles of the body – remember the heart IS a muscle – because it gets the tiny little nerve endings on the muscles to change their frequency – a frequency brought on by trauma.

I have used it as first aid several times to relieve the pain after an emotional drama makes the nervous system and the heart all clenched up and tense and painful.

One drop of Lily of the Valley to 100ml of water, and that taken one drop, is enough to give considerable pain relief almost immediately just because of the relaxation of the nerve endings around the heart. Used with other heart support herbs it’s just wonderful altogether.

Cactus Grandiflora

Cactus stabilizes the nervous frequency and with it the heart beat.

Just like everything in nature moves to a beat, so our bodies move to the beat of our heart.

Imagine what would happen if in an orchestra, the conductor, the person who keeps beat so that the violins can play in harmony with the trumpets and the pianist and all the other players, forgets a beat or two, or just loses it and jerks about.

Cactus is medicine for the conductor of the music of our bodies and souls- the Heart. It soothes, inspires stability and calm.

You see the Cactus is a plant that doesn’t exactly grow in the most eay places to grow. A desert plant, it knows to wait. It feels the heat in the day without the drama plants from the temperate zones would go through, and it feels the cold desert nights just as calmly. When it has resources, it uses them frugally, storing up the rest. As if to prove that drama is not required to produce the most beautiful things, it puts out beautiful flowers and fruit that is food for living beings all around, just like those plants that grow with plenty of water and in rich soil. Such a wonderful gift to mankind, is Cactus, and such wonderful medicine for the heart and the whole body.

If you go through emotional extremes, Cactus will help you, it knows how to deal with extremes.

Rosehips

The Rose is about courage. Plain and simple. Physically, emotionally, everyone’s got a different experience, and there’s a lot written about the Vitamin C in Rosehips and all that. It all however comes down to one thing, it gives the heart and the body strength, and it gives the soul the feeling of being able to do what the person wants to do.

A lot of our emotional problems, depression and so on stem from feeling unable to do what we have to do to get where we want to get. It’s sad when a peson believes they just don’t have it in them to do what their soul longs to more than anything else. Life itself seems pointless unless we’re moving towards our dream.

Hawthorn or Crategeus

Hawthorn
Hawthorn

The Heart deeply and powerfully affects the hormonal situation in the body, influencing the balance (or imbalance) between male-female, hot-cold, active-resting hormones in the body.

Hawthorn helps those who have had trauma in the long term that has resulted in hormonal imbalance of any sort. Depression, inability to enjoy every day life, sexual deficiency, sensory deficiency, are all rooted in the heart’s not being able to play its role in the hormonal processes of the body well enough.

Hawthorn helps clear up blocked pathways, making blood flow easier. It balances flow of rhythm and circulation between the various compartments of the heart itself.

It strengthens the heart, toning its very tissue and with a stronger heartbeat so much in the body feels better already.

Both as first aid and as part of long term rehabilitation, Hawthorn is just wonderful.

Nettle – Urticaria

Nettle doesn’t have to be taken in big doses – which can have laxative effects – to support a heart that’s weak or inefficient because of sluggishness.

How does a heart go sluggish? A life of not getting enough real holistic stimulation can make the heart disinterested and withdrawing to the point of stopping responding to sensory stimulus even.

Our world is full of ways to stimulate the mind, the senses, the body, but these ignore the heart and the emotions for the most part. Exposure to this on a daily basis, leaving the heart behind, makes it withdraw and atrophy.

A whole lot of circulatory problems ensue which further cause all kinds of problems as so much in the body depends on the highways – the blood circulation.

Emotional stimulation – a life that you FEEL, that moves your heart, is the only LIFE really.

Nettle can support the heart in coming out again and from there you you have to be brave and let your self feel, and follow those feelings.

Lavender flowers – Lavandula Augustifolia

The connection between the heart and the brain is obviously one of the most important highways of the body. Tension and congestion here is bound to create trouble everywhere.

Lavender relaxes the nerves all over but especially in this area and therefore should be considered first aid for those facing problems stemming from deficient blood circulation to the head.

Most sleep trauma conditions, skin problems that are restricted to or most visible on the face and neck, scalp imbalances, chronic ENT issues that are emotionally or stress triggered are all helped by Lavender.

Herb Robert – Geranium Robertiana

This little flower grows in radiation hit zones because of it’s ability to maintain its own energy system independent of the surroundings. As such it is support in recovery from radiation induced sickness – nausea and the like.

For the heart specifically it is of great help in our times, as the Heart is affected by the frequency of every sorts of ‘radiation’ and a lot of what shows up as disinterest in life, the inability to taste well with the tongue, sluggish lymphatic draining etc. is the Heart’s needing a bit of a detox and comeback to regular frequency.

Passionflower – Passiflora Officinalis

Passionflower relaxes the nerves. It supports the various connective nerves of the body making life so much easier for the heart as it has to pump blood around.

Passionflower makes the environment around the heart to relax so the heart can relax too.

Best of all Passionflower helps break the habits our nervous system forms through stress, so for those who have had heart disease for along time, this can help break the habit of holding the heart muscle tight and cramped and furthering the problem.

Mistletoe – Viscum Album

The great balancer herb, and associated with romance around Christmas, Mistletoe balances the blood flow within the heart reducing the risk of a heart attack, reducing the risk of nervous breakdowns, emotional meltdowns and flare-ups and all that drama.

Think of it as a sort of buffering system. For those with atrial fibrillation and heart beat irregularity (arrhythmia), and ventricular disorders Mistletoe lends a sort of buffering so everything feels better almost immediately.

If you’re an emotional tight-rope walker, with great demands made on your heart every day, Mistletoe is the one for you.

Jujube – Zizyphus

This berry has all the nutrition the body needs for recovery from both short term and long term nervous and cardiac fatigue.

Tiredness of the mind, of the heart, and of the physical parts of us can be relieved in many ways, still this one is a cut above the others because it’s got a little of everything in a beautiful simple combination.

It’s just refreshing.

End Chronic Illness – Metastasis or Shape Shifting Illness & Decisive Resolution

Metastasis is a word used to explain the movement of a disease or illness from one part of the body to another.

Cancer for example is pretty much treated like an evil spirit that when kicked out of one area, could well go and establish itself somewhere else. Infection in general can be like that too – spreading from let’s say the throat to the ears to the sinuses up the forehead.

But metastasis also happens, and more frequently than cancer or infection, as what is called ‘myopathy’ which just means weakness or under-functioning, or as inflammation.

It means the person has a weakness or minor illness somewhere in the body, and it is treated and it goes away, or it just goes away, but another area of the body then falls ill soon after.

The modern medical industry does not usually consider separate areas of the body falling ill, as the same problem. They are usually both treated symptomatically as separate conditions, usually the symptoms are suppressed, and the illness then moves to yet another part of the body.

Before long the person’s got not a pill or two to take at a time, but several, a whole box of pills and complicated prescriptions.

I remember seeing ‘witch doctors’ in a documentary on tv, trying to beat evil spirits that cause illness out of a person. While the beating bit was obviously undesirable, it was interesting to me, because you look at ancient cultures world over and they look at illness as a spiritual thing. One little problem here and there, here have this soup, problems around puberty, child birth, aging etc, here have this soup. But there’s a difference between those and illness that moves around.

This article is about those shape shifting illnesses and what we can do with herbs and otherwise to resolve the matter decisively.

I used the word ‘decisively’ there because I’ve discovered through long hard experience that ultimately the end of the shape shifting illness depends on the decision of the human. Truly, if you remember just one thing from this article, remember this – Shape Shifting Illnesses are ended through a decision finally made, and that decision enforced.

In fact, I could put it another way, the cause of shape shifting illness is nearly always a decision put off or being reluctant to enforce a decision made.

When you live a life too long on the brink of something, on the verge of something – almost there, but not quite there, one foot here but one little toe back there, mostly here but one little part wondering is it right for you – that’s the breeding ground for a shape shifting illness – which is nothing but your indecision hanging around trying to find a place in the body to ferment and rot in peace while you take your own sweet time reading books about how to develop leadership skills and take charge of your life and doing yoga to release energy blocks in your pelvic area.

The decisions that matter in our lives are not the ones we make in our minds, but the ones we arrive at naturally. Spirit decisions.

For example, do you remember the moment you decided to move away from a place? That moment when you knew you absolutely had to, no matter what the pros or cons were? Do you remember the moment you decided to marry someone? Or break up with someone? Or leave a job you’d had a long time?

Now imagine if you arrive at such a decision and because of fear or any number of other things, you decide to ignore it. Imagine the energy of that life changing decision, energy released to facilitate a life change, that powerful energy instead of being expressed hanging about your bones and internal organs like a pent up volcano. That’s just the energy you feel the lack of, in pursuit of which you take all kinds of supplements every day. Keeping that volcano in there from bursting and blowing holes in the system, itself is a big task and demands a lot of everyday energy.

You see how this downward spiral goes?

So, it’s obvious, the thing to do is face the issue and get on with life.

Now, I know it’s not as easy as that. However, we have eons of human history of ways people have used to face such situations.

Old school doctors would recommend a visit to the sea, for those they felt needed to face their soul decisions. That was their way of getting someone to get out of their everyday spin and demagnetize their systems and naturally face what’s holding them back.

Other old school healers would ask the person to do once more, things they did when they were last healthy.

What was that one thing you used to do when you were last healthy?

Please take the time to remember. It doesn’t matter if you don’t read the rest of this article. If you can, start doing it again, or find something that makes you feel like that again.

What if at the end of it all, you just don’t know what it is that ails you.

You’re an open minded person, you’re self critical and you love yourself too. You’ve tried most things and you still find yourself not able to get that breakthrough into energy release in a way that results in everyday healing and health. You just can’t get back to healthy again. You wonder is it just because you were that unwell and the process takes time, or are you even healing in the first place, because you seem to keep coming back to square one every few months.

What you need to do is make yourself a program where you do three important things:

1) Support your body with vital energy.
My favorite way to do this is with herbs that have a lot of vitamin c – Rosehips, Maritime Pine Bark, my Super Antioxidant Mix and so on. You need to take care of your body, get all the help you need to feel better.

2) Cry lots.
Crying always helps. Well, nearly always. The good majority of all the people I know and I know of who couldn’t release their shape shifting illness released it after a period when they lost their usual composure in life and cried and cried and cried for weeks and weeks. Sometimes tragedies brought it on, sometimes their soul just overflowed one day. Sometimes drastic change and events outside their control brought it on. That’s the key phrase ‘outside their control’. Think about it.

3) Baby yourself.
You know how babies cry. And you pick them up and think they’ll stop, instead they cry more. You wonder why the baby is crying more now! But the baby knows what she or he is doing. She’s communicating all that’s inside her to your heart in the only way she knows to communicate. In a while she’ll calm down.

Now, imagine you’re a baby; you don’t speak or write or even think yet. How would you communicate your feelings to the ones who love you? Or even just to your self?

One person grit his teeth and groaned from deep within, so deep within, deeper than tears could even tell of.

One woman tore at her hair then buried her head in pillows for a long time before she looked up.

One man ran out the door and didn’t stop running till he was way way out of his town.

One woman started dancing quite crazy, something like a robot who steps on a porcupine accidentally.

Others weren’t that extreme.

Communicate with your self in a primal way. And you will know what to do next.
