We recommend the following diet to support natural healing in a cat:

Raw muscle meat with bones (chicken thighs and drumsticks or whole carcass of rabbit or chicken), raw heart, raw liver.

To support hair, skin and nail healing in your cat, giving your cat 2 teaspoons of crushed millet & linseed made into porridge once daily as it contains the mineral silica which is an important mineral for hair, skin and nails, will help.

How does my cat benefit from the Bach Flower Remedies in your herbal treatments?
Cats like all other animals are affected by their experiences and form habits in dealing with stressful situations. In nearly all cases, supporting the cat in dealing with stress and changing stress-based behavior helps healing from physical conditions as well as preventing relapse.
The Bach Flower remedies are dilutions from flowers that have been known to support people and animals in recovering from trauma, emotional crises and changes of life or situation. They have been used in combination with herbal extracts for decades now and will almost certainly modify your cat’s treatment with Bach flower remedies that are specific to your cat’s emotional needs.

Can I transition my cat off steroid and prescription drugs to herbal treatment?
After the first 8 weeks taking both herbal treatments and steroids, the steroid doses could be reduced by 25%, and after 2 more weeks a further 25% and after a month another 25%m and so on depending on the response.

Should you have a holistically inclined Vet who has helped others transition off steroids and other prescription drugs before, they might have helpful advice as well.

What is your ointment base for topical herbal treatments?
I use a simple aloe vera and colloidal silver gel base. The aloe is always helpful whether in repairing skin or protecting from the sun and wind, or just supporting the other herbs. The colloidal silver is a full fledged infection fighter on its own and helps the other herbs penetrate and be better received than otherwise.
