The Endocrine system which controls the 'times of our lives', and all the participating hormones, pheromones etc, is one of easiest systems of the body to heal. Ironically it's one of the systems of the body that's most disrupted in our times (perhaps second only to the digestive system, though some argue it's our nervous system that's the most disrupted).

And once it gets disturbed we manage to not notice, or ignore all the symptoms till things are so bad we need to take more artificial stimulants and add-ons just to keep sleeping and waking, getting pregnant, and even simply having sex.
A senior classmate once told a couple (also classmates) who were considering getting fertility treatment to get pregnant, "In my time we took long walks under the stars, stopped smoking, and turned the television off at bed-time - always did the trick."

2) Get in step with the RHYTHM of nature - outside as well as within our bodies.
I know this sounds all poetic but its such a simple thing. The root cause of Hormonal Imbalance of any type is getting out of step with nature. We have a deep innate physical connection to the earth beneath our feet (even if it is 8 stories below) and the sun and the moon and the stars, and the trees we pass by, the wind that blows around the building and the sea and mountains in the distance. We are actually physically connected to nature around, and when we behave like we're not, we do silly things and fall ill. For example - a rather extreme one but it gets the point across: people living in the tropics tend to wear sandals all year around - not a good idea when they move to the temperate zones - what with snow and all that. Of course they're going to catch a cold.
The thing is, even when there are no visible signs, when we do not care for our bodies in tandem with the nature presently around us, little things go wrong in the Endocrine System, little things that set off chain reactions.
Now even more important than being in touch with external nature, is being in touch with internal Nature - the Nature in our bodies. When we are not aware of what our body is going through on an every day basis - and there is a LOT - we tend to ignore little things, suppress a few natural processes and end up with a whole lot of hormonal -pheromone imbalances.
To start losing the extra weight and keep it off, we need to acknowledge the weather and natural environment; we need to acknowledge and enjoy the natural processes within our bodies - monthly cycles, seasonal cycles. 3) Start Nurturing our own Sexuality
